| Shameless (US Verison)
Anyone watch this?
It's not on regular cable but on Showcase so you know it's epic. It came from the UK, same title, just like The Office but I will only watch the US version.
here's a summary:
William H. Macy plays a drunk, (best known in Fargo), Emmy Rossum plays the daughter taking care of 6 kids in the house. You think Married With Children was like the most dysfunctional family, this is the 2010 version of it.
there are boobs, sex, drinking, stealing, just a really fooked up white trash, food stamps, welfare family that's just really really interesting.
Script is decent since it's the first new series that started in January. I would rate Californication, Dexter, Entourage, Breaking Bad as epic and Shameless in between Entourage and Breaking bad. Entourage went downhill a bit and Breaking Bad is a tad slow (even though it's great acting) but
Shameless is really decent and well worth a watch. 8-9/10 then again, all the AMC, showcase are all awesome.

Californication has boobs and sex but the script is really nicely done.
Entourage has girls and partying with cameos etc, but it's how you see the guys pimping like rock stars that makes it a good show.
Shameless is the same, there are some boobs and all but you watch it for the fooked up family and the dynamics. It's Showcase, it must be better than at least some of the stupid shows on regular network.

Just watched episode 1. I like it.
I like shows with people who have actual problems and not rich people problems like *ahem* mad men.

It's actually really good, I finished up until season 3 last year, they haven't made any more episodes.
They only started showing it on tv from season 1 this year but you can download all seasons on torrents.

i finished season 3 but i don't know anymore is up. it's a love hate relationsihp with this and there are some really X rated scenes.../ diagloue...
somewhere inside i know there are families living like that... no to that extreme but u know what i mean.

I just really like it for the emotional aspect, how Fiona deals with all the situations that she's dealt with emotionally keeps me coming back. As things get crazier in their lives everything comes back to the way Fiona. I believe its in the first episode where she was about to cry then she swallowed her sadness because of the reality that she lives in, and crying is not going to change anything.
