Nexen tires?

Can anyone share some direct experience with Nexen tires? They are Korean made in China. Thinking of getting them to replace my Goodyear RS-A. Can't be worse than goodyear can it???

How do they compare to the nankang NS2 is what I'm curious about. The nankangs I here are fine in the dry but goes to shit in the wet, but yeah nexen nankang and achilles seem to be the most popular choices for cheap wheel + tire package advertising.

Oh well just got conti dws could've got nankangs for 40% less though haha

I had some 205/50/15 nexens of my civic a few years back an they were suprisingly good for the price. Decent in rain and even made it through snow with no trouble. I then got some 17"s with nankang ns2s. Just like u said above, decent in dry but sucked in the rain.

Decent quality for a buget minded tire.

I ran them on my daily and had no complaints.

I have nexen tires on my civic; they perform surprisingly well and maintain decent grip in wet conditions, my only complaint would be excessive road noise. I would purchase them again if I couldn't find a good used set of a higher end tire.

I ran the N7000's daily (all-season performance)... they gripped pretty good.
but you don't really need all-season, just get the summer N3000's. And since they are cheap you can beat on them all you want and just buy a new pair whenever.

you can always look online, they have them here:
http://www.nlmotoring.com/Tires-Falk...Nexen-s/21.htm

275/35/18 is the biggest size I think... got everything below that.

I had the N3000 on my Mazda3. A million times better than the OEM Goodyear RSAs.

Good tire for the price.

I run them on my rx7. I like them. Never do anything too intense like autox or anything, but seem to work great.

Bought them at national tire on River Road.

Nexen = good bang for the buck. Not the greatest, but nothing you'd regret buying considering the cost.

purchased nexen cp661 from walmart last year since it is on sale. Nothing special about the tire although it gets noisy especially during summer. Went to whistler last summer and the tire is so loud that I have increase to the volume of my stereo.

One more thing, after 1 week of installation, my car started pulling to the right. I had it aligned at Dale's Alignment in Langley. All settings/measurements are set to specs but it is still pulling to the right. They said that it is because of the tire. One of the mechanic said he had nexens before and had the same issue. Pulling is manageable for me so I'm still using the same tire at the moment.

so cheap to get down in the states. I also had n3000, same comment like other posters, greater road noise compared to premium tires, and i did run into 1 tire with bad Q.C (not straight).

but for the price, cant complain if u want something for your DD

i ended up getting the cp661 which i could hardly find any reviews. They were V rated 205/55/16 for my matrix. $83 each. I haven't installed yet since i still got my winter tires on. may do it within the next couple weeks if I don't find any other good deals. I know costco will have $70 off Michelin in April, but after adding total, it is still going to be close to $700 bones for a set... Now, with install for the Nexens is $450 all in.

if it was the sale walmart had on, for your size, that's a great deal.

every other size is only H rated.

from my experience the nexens are noisy, but grip good in all weather, last a long time and are cheap. what's not to like?

I'd run them if my shop carried them, I'm stuck with Hankook V12s

wouldn't Hankook V12 have better performance than Nexen?

definitely would be better but the hankooks are like 3x the price, and with 280 tread wear, they're not gonna last as long
