From now on there will probably only be minor improvements until some new technology is implemented into mobile phones. I mean the screens on all the recent high end phones are all extremely crisp and can be classified as a "retina" display. The cameras are also quite decent. Current dual core processors already run very smoothly on the operating systems nowadays. Even quadcore is kind of overkill. Not sure what else we can ask for other than better battery life.

I can only hope for a better Touch Wiz implementation (Touch Wiz 5?).

Man there's so many ICS roms out now. Post up a review of the new resurrection when you get a chance I'm debating whether I wanna go back to it or not.
Have you had any issues with any of the roms not going into deep sleep?
Thats my only beef with hydrog3n atm. I have to reboot everytime I take it off the charger

the last foxhound it didn't seem to be sleep. android os was using up 60% of my battery life.
when i switched to hydr0g3n it went down to 20-30 then went back up to 50%
i just loaded up Resurrection a few hours ago so i'll test it for the next few days.

oh... from Burnaby server, with Bell 4G, custom rom | There's a thread for speedtests. They are on the lower end but those speeds are normal for HSPA+.

Recently my S2's been experiencing problems with receiving phone calls and texts on time. Excellent reception all the time, but sometimes it doesn't ring when people call, or receive the proper text at the time it was sent.. In some extreme cases I get texts sent to me half an hour after the actual time, or I receive a bundle of texts when I send one out.
I've also had an issue about how my phone shuts down by itself, and I've had to switch it back on frequently. I've had the phone since August of last year, and I'd hate to have it repaired or replaced.

I was the Hyrdrogen ICS rom. It took a while for the battery life to settle. Eventually, I gave up on it because it kept failing my Music player. Otherwise, I really liked it. I heard the makers of Hydrogen ICS abandoned it over some petty disagreement. My bro just put the Resurrection ICS rom in my dropbox. Will wait for some reviews.

Will wait for some reviews. | Been using Sensation Rom for a few weeks now. I had it before I sold my SGS2 on Gingerbread last year and went back to it now on ICS. Still a solid rom with lots of options. Haven't really been monitoring the battery life because I switch between my iPhone and Android but can monitor it if someone wants to know more.
Also, I took of my the matte screen protector I had on this phone and can't BELIEVE I was using the phone with that it on. Forgot all about the wet-looking display the SGS2 has. LOVE IT
