So I decided to keep the Ultra Optics. Took me two tries to get it on properly with zero dust lol. Dust strips are tricky as hell to use. I wish they had a cover for the front as well for you to peel off at the end instead of just the cover on the back where the adhesive is. It was hard to tell if the dust was on the front or the back. 2nd try didn't require me to use dust strips so I guess my advice for anyone is to try to get it perfect the first time so you don't have to use the strips to remove any dust underneath.
Have to compare it side by side with my friend's SGS2 to see whether the dampening of the screen is that bad. So far it seems okay. Anti-fingerprint properties = win though

I've ordered myself the Ulta Oleophobic set. I'm getting irritated with all the oil and residue that keeps showing up on the phone from my hands and face.
On a side note, is anyone else experiencing a longer than usual delay when they press the "Home" button. It's so annoying. Any screen I'm in, if I press the Home button, it'll take a second or two and then go to the home screen. Similarly, when the phone screen is off and I press a button to wake it, it takes a second or two to turn on...

I orderd the same set. Should be arriving shortly.
I don't have any lag when the phone's on. Its less than a second after clicking home. When the phone's off the lag is normal. The phone's in a very low power state so I expect that.

If you really like the stock browser you can try flashing this patch in CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=954

I need a battery fix. I google searched that I should upgrade to android 2.3.4 as it improves battery life. From 100%, my battery went down to 22% after 15hours of use (light wifi browsing, games) on 2.3.3.

I'm using 2.3.3 and my battery life is awesome. I don't want it to get worse by upgrading...I wonder why yours is any different than mine... :S

Gaming takes up a lot of battery. Normal usage for me always nets me around 24 hours. I'm at 12.5hours with 65% left. Really depends on what you do. If you actually use the phone a lot with the screen on it'll drain like any other android phone.

I guess this is normal to get this kind of battery life.
The battery life and heat (overheating?) with the S2 are the two things that are bugging me. The area just above the battery gets quite hot when I wifi or use it for a prolong period of time. I believe that is where the CPU is located, that is why it's hot.

Its worth a shot, I dunno how you're still using the stock protector with all those images on it

If it's shipping from Ontario, it would definately arrive faster because it won't be going through any customs...

One thing I don't understand is how people are getting dust and debris under their protectors...installation is just like any other protector? Use a can of compressed air to get rid of the dust...
If not, spend another $5 and get Future Shop/Best Buy to install it for you..these aren't very difficult in my opinion.

Dust just floats around. I buff my phone with a microfibre and then compress air it. Little dust can be removed with tape or the stickers pretty easily.

$14. Save on shipping.
Installed my Glas. Ridiculously easy to install.
Didn't affect the screen at all. It protrudes out a bit (.6mm) and the home button is recessed, but it's great. The epoxy home button that it came with is ugly as shit, so I left it alone. At least now I know which way is up ![fullofwin](images/smilies/AwesomeSmiley.png) I'm seeing alot more fingerprints than when I had it bare, but it's just a simple wipe away.
Phone looks exactly the same, except I lost the "hidden" menu and back buttons. But other than that, no complaints.
I might wanna take that Mesh Back off of you Mirkoft.

BTW. The menu and back buttons. Are they cutout physically? Or is there still glass underneath and the black colouring is just gone?

The entire face is glass, no cutouts other than the Speaker and home button.
It's just the Black/White portion that's removed in the shape of the home/back button.
The black/White (depending on which one you get) is actually the silicon sealant. So you can "see" the buttons. Doesn't really bother me though.
