No?
You have SetCPU?
if so under "Scaling" drop down menu you should be able to choose "smartass v2"

Ok I have a small dilemma, and I'm not sure if there is a fix for this. I have 3 different camera apps. PaperCamera, Vignette, and the stock camera.

I have Papercamera and vignette set to save to the same folder on my internal SD. The stock camera + videorecorder are saved to a seperate folder on the external SD.

In my gallery it shows up as 2 different folders, each named "Camera"

I want to be able to differentiate between the 2, so using Astro file manager I navigated to each specific save folder and renamed them, however upon using the camera apps again they automatically by default save to a NEW folder named "camera." So now I'm left with 2 new folders named "Camera" and 2 of the old folders containing all my pics and videos with the custom names I created.

Is there a way around this? I just want to have 2 different folders in my gallery named "Camera internal" & "Camera external"

If any of you guys are looking for a clear case for your SGS2, I have one for sale. I bought this one from case-mate: Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy S2 Barely There slim case by Case-Mate , believing it would fit my SGS2 LTE. It doesn't. Now i'm stuck with this unless someone wants to pick it up off me.

PM me please, I don't check this thread often. Sorry if posting this is not allowed; delete if necessary.

Apparently next week there will be an ICS beta leak from Samsung:
Samsung ICS leak next week - xda-developers

Also one of the CM9 guys have confirmed it as well:
codeworkx - android blog

Keep an eye on the official thread here:
[REF]Galaxy SII ICS Progression Updates Here - xda-developers

Let's hope this thing is fully functional and just needs a few bugs ironed out!

Also, for anyone that wants some cool animations that are missing from our phones check this out:
*SUCCES* Gingerbread Screen Rotation Animation - xda-developers

Basically you get the rotation animation from vertical to landscape and vice-versa.
It also fixes the CRT-off effect so that it animates properly (but flips the picture upside-down unfortunately). But still very cool.
It messes up the rotation animation in your stock gallery as well unless you download the fix from post #133 here:
*SUCCES* Gingerbread Screen Rotation Animation - Page 14 - xda-developers

I did this on mine and I can confirm that it works on XXKI4 stock-based ROM. Apparently it will work on any rom that is based on Samsung framework.

Nice! Seems like ICS is coming along quick but I'm personally gonna wait on an official release

I'm still here...and I still haven't seen a working version of ICS...It's a little early to call me out on it yet lol.

I said earlier that I don't think that the SGS2 will have a "stable, working version" of ICS until next year...

I'm also much happier with my Nexus than I was with the Galaxy S2. I had that phone for over 5 months and it was time for something better. It was the smartest decision. I bought a phone and sold it for the same price I bought it for MONTHS later after using it. Now, if I want to buy that phone again, I can get it for $450 at the most. It was the smartest move.

Anyone have Korean version of S2? My uncle won one from a draw and he said I can have it.
Tried googling whether korean version will work in Canada with Fido or not but I'm getting mixed reviews :S

Mine was from Hong Kong, factory unlocked from Samsung. I didn't have any problems with it.

Besides the software what is it you didn't like about the s2? From what I can tell from video reviews it doesn't seem like the nexus has much on the s2 besides a denser screen + ICS

The problem is that you guys keep making false assumptions, even after I've already addressed them. I didn't sell the phone because I didn't like it...I sold it because:

- I had it since July
- Always keep my phones for a few months and then get rid of them
- I knew I wanted to try out the Nexus Galaxy when it came out
- The 720P screen and ICS is a huge bonus for me.
- Prices were dropping like flies and I could always pick one up again later with cash in my pocket to spare.

That being said, it's all about $$$ to me and being able to have the latest and greatest. The week I sold my phone, I saw there was an abundance of SGS2's for sale on RevScene AND Craigslist. Rogers and Telus had signed on with official versions of the phone and the prices were inevitably dropping. With a phone, that cost about $500-$580 to buy outright on the used market, you could now buy it for $400-$450 brand new online. I managed to sell mine for about $550 even though it was used and had no box with it, so saying no to a sale like that would've been stupid.

Although the differences may be subtle (ie: screen size, OS upgrade, shape/design), they're still newer and in most cases better versions of technology. Drawbacks? Yes, a few...Nexus is abnormally large, but so was the Galaxy S2 when we first bought it. No memory card slot? I've managed without one before...

I've had Gingerbread for SO long now and I need something new. The Galaxy lets me have an official, stable version of ICS without having to worry about major glitches, bugs of tweaking. The SGS2 either doesn't have as much support, developers aren't as organized or it is more difficult to work on, but like I've said before, ICS won't be stable and ready till next year and by that time, my phone would've been worth $400 and I'd be selling it @ at a $150 loss.

LOL. That's not what you said:

"Finally pulled the trigger to get RID OF my Galaxy SII. Only reason I got rid of it was because I don't think ICS port will be perfect enough to be used on the SGS II. "

But I'm glad you were able to sell it for $550 cause that's a good price.

Ya, I made a few posts in the thread about why I sold it, because it was addressed a few times. I shouldn't have written "only reason" that time lol.

And again, we're talking about the PORT, and I stand by that, saying that the port, which usually comes out sooner, won't be good enough...The official release however, will be fine, but won't be out till much later (aka next year.)

Not an assumption I guess based on the post that Mikroft quoted...A lot people are assuming though that when I got rid of the SGS2, it was because of poor performance or some flaw; which isn't true. I enjoyed the SGS2 to the fullest and it was a strong performer. It was just time, as they say, "on to the next one..."

Well.. We'll see how good the official beta release is at the end of this week

I'm due for a HUP early next year so I may jump onto the Galaxy Nexus anyways.

Ya know, ICS is pretty damn stable even in "alpha"
can't help that the guy runnin the CM9 on SGS2 sucks

Is ICS really that awesome?
i've been running this for 2wks now..its cool..but definitely doesnt change the ways I do things on my phone.

Yea the contacts/dailer is neat and some of the new so called 4.0 apps are wonderful in productivity, but they will eventually make their ways over.

Is anyone really missing all that much? Honest answer is not really.
