Oh wow... the slow motion + quiet music = haunting. Way to set the mood!
So sad to see a loving family torn apart by the craziness...

Just days after its trailer became a viral sensation comes word that the upcoming video game Dead Island is going to get the Hollywood treatment.
The Sean Daniel Company and Union Entertainment have reportedly joined forces to bring the Deep Silver-Techland game to the screen.
Variety claims the producers "have started searching for a writer and are currently in discussions with studios and film financiers about making the movie."
And according to Deadline, "Studios and agencies are all over them, suggesting talent packages and story lines to try and make a screen deal. That will likely happen in the next week or so. The film will will follow a Memento-like storyline, even though the video game does not."

memento like storyline... the hell....
super early stages though so that'll probably change... sounds like they missed the point of why people are crazy about the trailer... (for those that dont know Memento starts from the ending and moves backwards) sure it was neat how the trailer was handled but whaaaaaaaaaaat?
it could work i guess as long as they dont start at the very ending... bcuz thats also an exciting part of zombie flicks to see what happens (even though most of them take on the same regimen)
This is, likely, to keep the buzz for Dead Island going or to generate some for these companies. It doesn't look like Sean Daniel company, nor Union Entertainment, have many items on their resumes.
I am personally waiting for the World War Z move adaptation (if it ever comes out )
World War Z is one of the best books I've ever read (also, hands down the best Audio Book I've ever listened to and I recommend it but after you've read the book). I still don't know how they're going to make it into a movie but they have started filling it out. Pitt's signed on to play Max Brooks (the narrator).
IMO if they don't have Henry Rollins at the bodyguard character, they're doing it wrong.
