| [HELP] x10 is messed up ): Need advice
So I lent the phone to my gf and she ended up rooting it to change the interface.. and now it's pretty messed up.
When I try to turn it on, it'll be at the Sony Ericsson screen (without the SE logo, just the one with letters and a blank screen) and get stuck there. It won't do anything, and will just heat the phone up as long as the battery is alive (I have to take the battery out to shut down the phone). I can't get anywhere past this screen
When I do take the battery out and try again, it's pretty much a 1% chance to get it to boot up. When it DOES boot up, sometimes it'll randomly heat up to the point where the battery will burn your hand if you leave it there for more than 5 seconds. At this point, the battery will drain insanely quick, it'll go from 100% to 0% in less than an hour. Once it's turned off, it's pretty much impossible to get it to boot up again. I still haven't been able to boot it up for 2 days now
I have tried to flash it using SEUS, using xrecovery, Global World 2.1, and numerous other methods of formatting the phone.. nothing is working. ): It flashes successfully.. because after it flashed it actually booted up and everything was set back to default. Then the battery heated up and died on me.
Any tips on what to do to fix this problem?

But it does boot up sometimes, even though its 1 in a million tries. And when it does boot up it works perfectly fine until it decides to heat up and deplete the battery at a crazy rate

more then likely:
common x10 problem caused by defective mobo. probably excerbated by the fact you let your gf root it. first off slap your gf and then send it back for warranty. let them know that the battery overheats (common) and that it wont hold a charge and the phone wont turn on even while plugged in. TELL them you've read the sony ericcson forums and that you know that this is a hardware issue. DO NOT MENTION anything about rooting yada yada. though if you tell the tech that you gave it to your gf and it came back like that I am sure they will more than understand, and also probably tell you to slap her as well. LOL
OR can also be bricked by:
honestly she prolly f it up by loading a custom rom on the wrong baseband. in which case you are hooped at which point you lay on the guilt trip to your gf and get her to make it up to you by oral.
If i am wrong, then i will let your gf slap me, gl to you.
ps: jp can also check out your phone for you and tell you what it will cost to fix (if he can) thats prolly ur best bet if you want to keep the phone

Damn. Lol I lent it to her to use since I got a htc desire z, but ended up selling that phone and when I got my x10 back it was like this Another thing though, I took apart the x10 a few months before anything was wrong with it, took the silver bezel off the phone and sprayed it blue. I'm pretty sure this voids the warranty, and you can tell just by looking at the phone because the color scheme is black and blue as opposed to black and silver
Lol, fk I guess I'll go take it to jp to get it checked out then, thanks ): I thought that using seus or flashing a new rom on it would fix everything rom related, but I have no experience at all in rooting
