| BEST Driving Road in Vancouver
Hi Guys,
I couldnt find this thread anywhere else so I'll just ask. I'm trying to find the best driving/cruising roads in the Greater Vancouver Area. Something that has lots of turns, easy on the traffic, no cops, etc... My car is pretty low so also need the road to not be beat up to much.
Thanks guys

stanley park is a nice ride at night. at least when it gets warmer. At the end you drive by english bay and in the summer it perfect.

Marine way in north van is nice and quick and go to the end you end up hitting whytecliff.. Really nice park/beach.
But its residential so its more of a curvy cruise.
This other place I go to is near Mission dont know the exact location buts its off of clayburn road.. Nice and windy, with some hills for some redlining.. Yet secluded, watch out for the ditches and animals..
Both locations have nice 2nd-3rd gear corners throughout the run but I usually only cruise the Marine way because theres soo many driveways..

Although the best roads you need to set a whole day for them..

Stanley park roads are under construction at the moment, from 1/4 of the beginning to the totem poles are all gravel, not recommeneded for low cars =( Heading east from Vancouver, on highway 1 taking exit 8 leads to Cypress Mountain Road AKA Cypress Bowl Road. +1 to what Seveht said, It is an awesome cruise both up and down, though they do close the road at around 10-11pm. Cruising around UBC is pretty good also, though you have to be extra careful due to the fact it is school season. Pretty much have to agree with ilvtofu and what he said above. Also the queens Borough Bridge is not a bad cruise either, (starts off either on marine or if your on kingsway make a right on griffths dr. and follow it all the way down)

Barnet Hwy/Rd
David st. from Poco-Coq
you could make it an epic drive from David ave, Ioco, Murray, Clarke, Barnet Hwy, or substitute Ioco with Guilford
nice cruise

Barnet Hwy is good late at night...
I've gotten pulled over several times there, there's cop around that area often.

There are no good 'driving roads' in Vancouver. Excessive speeding ticket will result in, tow, suspension, and hefty fine. Most roads are beat up, and to rural to even have a spirited drive.
If your serious about driving, then you will have to check out Chuckanut drive in Washington. Just past Bellingham, there is a exit called 'chuckanut'. Best driving road, with scenery imo close to Vancouver. Driving it in the fall is amazing. The trees dangle over the road and give it natural tunnel feel. Very nice!
