Swapped back yesterday, because I need to preserve my winter tires.

Dude, GTFO. With lows of near 0 still every day you are just a risk to yourself and others using summer tires at this time of year. I know you miss your "Low Pros" (lol) but it's retarded to switch this early, particularly with the weather being the way it is.

It all comes down to your driving habits (including what time of the day you drive). Winter tires out performs summer around 5-10 degree range. If you just drive your car like any working stiff 9-5 to and from work within lower mainland, you can swap.

Just don't come complaining if ICBC finds you at fault if you are in any accident due to your tires.

I'm aware of the conditions and I'm not a careless driver who is swapping back early only because I'm tired of steelies, I'm making light of a situation I would prefer not to be in.

The 14 day trend shows the temperature sitting between 6-10 degrees as of Friday, I don't drive in the early mornings or late nights so I miss the coldest temperatures. That puts me at the edge of the temperature barrier between all-season/summer tires and winter tires, so to preserve my expensive winters I switched back now since I don't know if I'll be able to afford replacing them until after I graduate.

I really feel so much safer now on the road knowing that a group of people decided to swap to their summer tires only due to cosmetic reasons.

Please don't follow to close to me and thanks for putting everyone else on the road in danger.

Please grow up.

Considering 80% of Vancouver drivers use all-season tires year round I don't think you have much reason to be concerned.

You forgot to take into account people with SUV's that think its not necessary to have winter tires. Eg. all those X5's out there.
