Got my keys! Time to get to work (pics)

Yes.. Mar. 1st! And boy have I been busy like a mofo! So much needs to be done! I don't even think about my modifying my car anymore (until things settle down ;) ). Anyhow, here's some pics off my camera phone. I'm sorry, I won't be able to write down full journal articles, but I can jot down a sentence or two to accompany the pics. Lots of fatigue, lots of work, but I'm totally enjoying it. Enjoy.

Waiting for the day. So excited I that I had to scribble my ideas onto a paper napkin, lol

First day. Many trips back and forth to move tools and stuff. Here's the trunk

French doors. I SO wanted these for the house and I found them used!

Before - outdoor lights. Not so nice..

After - outdoor lights. Father's showing me how first; he is like a cross between Gordon Ramsay and Home Depot. Sometimes it's hard to keep up..

downstairs layout

http://i55.tinypic.com/icsaa9.jpg
repainted living room walls with benjamin moore, stonington grey
swapped old light fixtures for nicer ones

http://i54.tinypic.com/w6xruw.jpg
other side of living room and stairs (old light fixture).

garage, left side. will be my workshop. new garage doors have been ordered.

downstairs living room. traded old hospital-like flourescent tubing lights for a chandelier, carpets will be changed soon enough.
painted grey and window sills black. would be nice to get some white wood mouldings though instead of those rubber ones

um yeah the paint spilled.. but we don't care since hardwood floorings going in (upstairs) next week or so

washroom walls were previously "sponged"---not my cup of tea.
and thats an old toilet-american standard about to be swapped out

http://i56.tinypic.com/52j4tc.jpg
the bolts on the old toilet were so rusted. had to saw the heads off.

if it looks like an anus, it prolly smells like one

ugh, is that a vinyl floor in the washroom? time to tile that up! new tile baseboards and paint too!

?ikea Light fixture (before)
http://i56.tinypic.com/5v91eq.jpg

Light fixture going in, soooo heavy with all the crystals attached. swear it was like 40-50 lbs
http://i53.tinypic.com/2vv98ud.jpg

Light fixture (after) - we have to put in a reinforcement hook cause the weight of it would rip a hole in the ceiling!

why did you put that big ass ugly light in?

also, why didn't you paint the bathroom before you put the new tile in so you could easily get all the area behind it?

also, definetly get rid of that vinyl, check the sub flooring too because it probably gotten soft from water seeping through the vinyl

The old garage doors
http://i54.tinypic.com/bheija.jpg

Yes! The new ones came. I tell you it's totally worth the upgrade
http://i55.tinypic.com/2dj9nq1.jpg

It was kind of fun putting this table set together
http://i56.tinypic.com/2rqmwe9.jpg

Allen keys for every single piece. quite time consuming. 3 to each leg. 4 legs each chair.
http://i56.tinypic.com/kdx2t3.jpg

Finally, all put together. Gonna call it the "study room" downstairs.

Those garage doors look insulated. How much did those set you back?
