Can anyone suggest something that will run on Windows 7 and will allow calculations for cost of materials??

There's the RS Means books that you can use. They also have software available that should work with Windows 7.

Thanks, I was hoping to find something like the link below, but it says that it won't work with 64 bit windows 7 which I'm using.

Yeah I'm not familiar with that software. Never used this kind of software before where you design and then it breaks down materials. Guess you could design it on another software and just roughly calculate the area's and lineal feet and use of the of the RS Means books. I'm sure the library should have a copy. It'll probably be a bit more work that way though.

I'm no expert and judging by the amount of projects I've started around my existing house you'd see that I'm terrible at calculating costs.. :)

Can someone design me a garage with blueprint quality printing?? I'm willing to pay for the service..
