My old Crapalier had the roof and hood jumped on, spray painted, windows smashed, two wheels and stereo stolen, interior trashed, etc... $12k in damages on a car worth $18k. ICBC didn't write it off... was all fixed. So the dollar figures don't mean squat.
When the same car got torched by junkies on Halloween night six months later, they only gave me $6500 for the car... but I digress..
