I order 99% of my supps from bb.com but there are some things I want that they don't carry, so I tried smartpowders this time. They offer 10% discounts too, and their prices are roughly the same. No free gift though, so I guess 10 bb.com t-shirts will be enough
It took 3 days for them to get my order out though, so there's that.
If you had to buy local (lower mainland) where do you usually go? I decided to check out Reflex and the rep there cut me a deal on some stuff there, where as at Popeyes, the guy there was incompetent and used lines out of a book and didn't really try to budge on the price.
I ask this because I can't really get a Pt. Bob box
bb.com ordrers shipped via economy come by Canada Post = cheap and no duty. I was happy. (I don't have the Pt Roberts option because I live in Victoria)
i ordered on april 27 and april 30 and got my first order yesterday and second one today(delivered to my house). I am very suprised with the speedy service from bb.com

If you're from Surrey, check out the one on King George and 76th inside "Platinum Fitness Gym" they usually know their shit and also give you free stuff (protein bar/shake bottle) with your order.

The Reflex in Richmond is willing to change price too (not sure where you went). The Popeye's in Richmond is also good, though I've never asked him or had them offer a discount

Drink the waste of money size on during and take pre workout before gym

Neurocore is vastly underdosed. I am liking this focus xt stuff, no ED this time. I am going to up the dose of oxiracetam next time.
Most pwos are goofy, I'll help you guys figure out the best stack. So far I have narrowed down the stuff that does help
Caffeine
Choline
Oxiracetam (will also try aniracetam)
Probably 1,3 but I never tried it myself.
What doesn't work? Check your label, and if it's not listed above, probably that seriously though, for the most part that's true. You get more from creatine and beta alanine than anything a pwo has to offer. Aside from that, the next option is steroids.
Anyone try out cytosport muscle milk protein? It's probably the best tasting post-workout shake I've ever had... Has all the essential vitamins in it too.. Check out the ingredients, its the full package..

So I took the time to break down a popular PWO, Assault. Here's what I came up with:
In case you are windering what the colour codes mean:
green = specified on the label orange = educated guess, should be pretty close. Estimates based on leftover amounts in each blend, etc red = shot in the dark guess at dosage. Estimates based on usual effective dosage in other supplements
black = who fucken knows
Spoiler!
MP Assault
I will be talking about per SCOOP (manufacturers have been using a trick where they list a "serving" on the label that is lower than what you would actually use. This way, they can say it has "32 SERVINGS" in big bold letters for $33, but really it is 16 servings at $2 each. Another perfect example is NeuroCore, which lists a serving as 1/3rd an actual serving you would use, so your "45 serving" container is actually 15 servings, also $2 a serving (fancy that)
We'll go through each hilariously named component of the 46g prop blend. Since it's a proprietary blend, there is no need to state how much of each ingredient is used. But they do list some, so maybe we can deduce how much of the others there are.
Other Ingredients
First we can get the "other ingredients" out of the way, since they are clearly labeled. We know there are 18g of carbs in here, so that takes care of the "glucose polymers" aka sugar. The next step down that we are aware of is 500mg of calcium silicate and phosphate, and about 200mg of sodium and potassium. With flavouring somewhere between there, let's round it off to 300mg of flavoring.
That leaves 27 grams out of the 46g scoop that is "active ingredients".
Remember, each whackily named component must be listed in order from greatest to least:
Anti-Fatigue Adaption Matrix
CarnoSyn® Beta-Alanine - 4g, as claimed on the label Citrulline Malate - 1.5g, according to the label (DMG) Dimethylglycine - It doesn't take much of this, formerly known as vitamin B16, to take effect. So probably around 250mg if it is fully dosed, less if under-dosed. Rhodiola Rosea (Root) Extract 3% Rosavins - Not a cheap herb, but an awesome one. I want to assume this is underdosed, but let's be kind and say they included a full 400mg dose
This is the top one, and we know that the one below is 6g total. By my estimates, this one is just over 6g itself (could be off if I overestimated their RR dosage). So that leaves around 21 g for the rest
This is 5g total. I'm not sure why it is listed ABOVE the BCAA listing which is 6g. It is possible that it is some concentrated form that 'provides 5g creatine' but is actually more? Now we know that all the components below are 6g also (and we're down to 16g)
High Performance Energy & Intensity Amplifier
Let's use 6g approx. for now, since the ingredient below is known to be 6g.
Choline Bitartrate - The bulk of this component. Adding up most of the estimates below, and taking into account that taking above 3g of choline bitartrate would leave a very noticeable odor in the powder, and on your breath after drinking, that means around 2g of choline bitartrate. Taurine - Probably 1g, similar to Red Bull and other PWO's that use this L-Tyrosine - Most likely around 500mg Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) - As far as I can tell, this is the only fat source in Assault. 18 calories coming from carbs and no protein yet, we can deduce that there are around 450mg of MCT (aka coconut oil) Caffeine Anhydrous - 300mg according to a MP rep (source). That leaves us with 750mg or so for the rest of the ingredients. Everything below here will almost certainly be under 100-200mg:
Papain 1000
Pyroglutamic Acid
L-Aspartic Acid
Camiella Sinensis (White Tea Leaf Powder) Pyridoxine HCL (the label states 28mg per scoop) Methylcobalamin (label states 1.7mg per scoop)
We're down to 10g now.
3:1:2 BCAA Ratio (Patent Pending)
BCAAs (L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-Isoleucine) - Label claims 6g per scoop
That leaves 4g for the rest:
Cell Volumizer
L-Glycine
L-Arginine Blend
Here is the "pump" blend. With only 4g left for the entire blend, there is almost certainly not enough of either to get any NO production (Arginine itself can sometimes increase NO in people who are deficient, but in healthy people, nothing)
Cellular Transport Amplifier
Astragin®
Cinnulin PF®
Muscle Hydration & Electrolyte Blend
L-Glutamine
Phosphorus Sodium - 90mg according to the label Potassium - 80mg according to the label
So what does that say about Assault?
1) You are geting a lot of caffeine. 300mg of caffeine per scoop - hey you just drank 3 Red Bulls! If you were wondering why you feel 'wired' after this, it's the high caffeine content, along with a good amount of L-Tyrosine and Taurine.
2) You do get some choline which is good, and will be what causes all of the 'focused' feeling you would get from it.
3) You can skip your creatine dose for the day
4) And you only need to take half a beta alanine dose that day
5) And that's it. This is basically three diet Red Bulls with some choline, creatine, and beta alanine. Actually it's not TOO bad for $2 a scoop, since that's about what a can of Red Bull costs anyway. Everything else listed here is either dosed way too low to be useful in a PWO, or just useless completely.
Hope this helps people out a bit! It was fun to research
