Combat Powder tastes great IMO. Mixes easily and doesn't cause upset stomach even with a double serving

Certain Syntrax Nectar flavours are the best you'll ever taste if you like fruit flavours, but it's expensive and kind of hard to get. Lemonade is the best, followed by grape and peach.

What's the hype on Quest bars ? They taste like crap, and won't do anything for you. Get off the wagon !

Isoflex. Or choose a protein powder with
no sugar, fat, and low calories. Look at the profile.

I'm a 10 year gym vet and i've tried everything and Isoflex is my go-to. Tastes amazing...if you get chocolate it has real chocolate chips in it (dark chocolate isn't too bad for you). Try it !

Notice they don't list anything about the real chocolate chips on the label...wouldn't those be sugar or calories

i have two 5lb tubs of gold standard brand new 5LB for $70 each (2) if anybody is interested. sells for a lot more in stores and online now a days i believe

i use allmax isoflex now. bit expensive but i really like the taste of it. makes me look forward to going to the gym lol the chocolate chips are a little pointless to me cause it just gets stuck at the bottom of the shaker when i finish my drink

What flavor is the gold standard?

DragonChi 02-20-2016 11:36 AM

With our shitty dollar, ordering from true nutrition isn't as good as a buy anymore.

I've been suggested, Canadian Protein. Does anyone else have a comparable/alternative site? Perhaps, something even better in terms of buying bulk and stevia based flavouring.

604dragon 02-20-2016 12:38 PM

im currently using supplementsource.ca and have had no complaints so far. Ordered from them 3 times now and occasionally they have deals for 10-20% off and if you order over 100$ shipping is free.

SkinnyPupp 02-20-2016 04:55 PM

iherb.com is by far the best deal for me, shipping is rarely over $8 USD and it's DHL so here within 3 days. They also offer free shipping with SF Express but they suck, so it's worth the $8 to go with DHL.

I'm not sure how it is for Canadians compared to local, but for me it's great. Check it out

any suggestions for isolate proteins?

currently using ON whey concentrate and feel like puking every time i drink it

wc19 03-08-2016 05:30 PM

Just moved back, looking at getting some protein, probably get a small tub for the meantime and any good local places or sites to purchase from? I usually get the ON gold but have also heard good things about allmax

iHeat 03-08-2016 09:27 PM

ON has the best protein, saw a few test results with different samples. Allmax isnt bad either

Im not a fan of ON (even though i use it right now), it has a sweetner that makes me want to puke afterwards compared to other brands. Isolate > concentrate for this situation (even tho i am not lactose intolerant)

costco protein quality isnt that great, saw a few test on kaizen and it is average

Berzerker 03-09-2016 09:31 AM

I swear by Carnivore line of protein. It's all beef, no whey, and I never feel any gut rot or upset stomachs. Flavor is great and mixes perfect. I usually get the MASS tub as it has BCAA's in it as well. If your experiencing gut rot I would highly suggest trying all beef and getting away from Whey.

I have a fruit and protein shake right when I wake up, then food for the rest of the day and a shake right after working out before my next meal.

Berz out.

Are you referring to the labdoor results? If so, couldn't find Kaizen on there.

Thanks Berz, I tried the arnold before and it was a beef protein as well, got it for free so I was trying it but then wasn't a huge fan. Definitely will take a look at this one.

Gerbs 04-12-2016 11:32 AM

The MusclePharm cookies and cream at costco for $40 has to be the best tasting protein powder I ever tasted. Solid 10/10 will buy 4 - 5 more.

Armind 04-12-2016 11:46 AM

Fav as of now is iso-100

Now where can I find it for cheaper.. Reflex just increased their prices so my discount there is meh.

SkinnyPupp 04-12-2016 06:24 PM

Arnold Whey banana swirl tastes like a damn banana shake, so good. Best banana flavour ever!

etodac 04-13-2016 10:37 PM

Is MusclePharm better than new Kaizen, not talking about the taste but nutritional value.

blkgsr 07-12-2016 09:49 AM

has anyone here used HMB?

one of the coaches at my gym as recommend i take it (with creatine in a mix)

i'm looking to add mass, protein doesn't normally site well with me and the last time i just got bloated/fat, so i try something else

are BCAA's still the next recommended product to take?

we're doing about 4 work outs a week (crossfit) so i want to be able to take advantage and give my muscles what they need to grow and recover.

SkinnyPupp 07-12-2016 09:51 AM

HMB is just a form of Leucine, just take leucine if you want

Protein doesn't make you bloated or fat. Are you trolling? Eat protein dude
