Rowing In Vancouver

I am interested in taking on rowing. Does anyone know how to get started and roughly how much it is a season? Thanks in Advance

A bunch of them had a race yesterday in False Creek, I'm a dragon boater though, not a rower.

I believe the Oval has indoor rowing that gets you into UBC rowing club.
