Fuck, try 38.5's at 7psi. I already have the tanks and regulator but the pump I got turned out to be a dud. Anyone selling a good York? lol

Paying for air is a scam. There is one company in BC providing the equipment to the gas stations. They come to gas stations talking about how expensive it is to buy and maintain equipment and that they will provide the equipment for free and split the profits with you. Once installed they tell you that other gas stations give the money to charity threw them and you should to. So now the customers are paying for air, the store is paying for the power and the company keeps all the money and who knows how much they donate. We have had a gas station for 20 years and have spent less than $2000 for equipment and repairs. The gas stations that charge for air have a switch inside to turn on the air for free if you ask nicely they will turn it on.

it's only 50 cents

If your really cheap go to Kal tire and get the leak fixed.. Most of the time its free.

Ive had a total of 5 tire leaks all repaired by Kal tire for free.

impulseX 03-17-2011 09:29 AM

if you really dont want to sound cheap. just go in and ask for change so that you can use the air.
last time i did that with the intention of actually paying, the guy asked if it was for the air, and then just switched it on for me

Is that because you purchased your tires from Kal?

Euro7r 03-18-2011 06:36 AM

Chevron has been providing free air for tire. :fuckyea:

marksport 03-20-2011 07:02 PM

Crappy tires has a sale on jumper packs with compressors at the moment, but still about $80. There were some at the flea market for $15 brand new.

baggdis300 03-20-2011 07:07 PM

haha, this is why i put a quick release on my air tank :)

i got a compressor that pumps to 200 psi, and a 5 gallon air tank.

made a 10 ft hose with a quick release ends female on one end, and a male on other, then got me a tire chuck and a blower for after the car wash, get all the water off
no water spots FTW

Antwon 03-21-2011 09:15 AM

They did this because there are retards out there that vandalize them. Then they have to replace them.

I was in need of air last time since there a nice stuck in one of my tires and it was leaking pretty bad, pulled up to a gas station, press the button, only to find out that the hose had been cut.

baggdis300 03-21-2011 10:01 AM

the hose can be cut on the pay ones as well...

its just on a reel that is not locked until you pay...

Leopold Stotch 03-21-2011 11:14 AM

one time i went inside to tell them to turn it on and they refused to because i had to put a dollar in, and i said "look my friend worked here and he said as long as i ask they'll turn it on"

in the end they told me to fuck off, even though as i put my dollar in i read on the machine " ask attendant to turn on the machine " assfucks
