white TSX - window tint

Just picked this car up
http://wilchan.com/sblog/images/tsx_1.jpg

I know it's illegal to have the front windows tinted ... from experience!!

What do you guys think of just doing the back? And what level of tint?

If any of u have pics of a white tsx or any white sedan car with just the back tinted it would help.

Thanks,
c

off the top of my head, i think it was 55% tint that was the legal maximum

illicitstylz 03-28-2011 02:03 PM

rear windows can be as dark as you like, you can spray paint the black if you want.

front has to be 100% transparent to be legal other than the stock oem tint (the light blu-ish tint you see on Benz etc)

Dragon-88 03-28-2011 02:05 PM

20% it will look sweet. But dark at night.. Sometimes when I have my friends in the back at night I can barely see their face.. But its really up to your preference.

Come to our tsx meet, april 16 7pm in richmond, atleast 2 white tsx will be there..

15% is what me and my friend did (I drive an accord)

-EuroRSN- 03-28-2011 02:17 PM

5% is limo tint go with 15%

d1 03-28-2011 02:20 PM

35% or 30% if that's an option. Personally I don't like the huge contrast of really dark tint in the back and nothing on the front.

Phat_R 03-28-2011 02:24 PM

it'll look stupid with just the back tinted - like an SUV

That's what im contemplating. I've gotten a ticket for this in the past and don't want to tint the front for this reason.

Any pics?

rageguy 03-28-2011 02:27 PM

15% will look nice. Call up Larry for cheap but excellent tint job.

Phat_R 03-28-2011 02:31 PM

closest pics I could find.... stupid person took it in the shade though

oops I guess my numbers were way off looking at the fails LOL
havent been in the tint shop for 4 years so I was pulling what hazy memories I had of percentages.
but last I was in, I know you cant total black out the rears unless the laws have changed since then.

You can tint all the back windows whatever you like. Just the front passenger/driver and windshield have to be transparent.

So you only have 15% tint on the rear windows and nothing on the front?
The first pics looks like even the front is tinted.

Nice car btw.

hc529 03-28-2011 03:23 PM

Yap, both car is tinted rear only @ 15%.
Front is not tinted! Not 1st pic was at an angle, so it kinda looks like its tinted.(Maybe black leather) But look on my passenger side, no tint

5% on rear passgener doors and 25% for the rear windscreen :)

fliptuner 03-28-2011 04:47 PM

If the interior is black, you only need 15% for the rear windows. The only time you'll notice the front's not tinted is when you you look straight from the side.

baggdis300 03-28-2011 05:30 PM

20% rear, 40% up front.

jpark 03-28-2011 05:35 PM

35% all around looks really nice to me & classy.. i personally dont like super dark tint

but seems like police are getting more strict about the tint these days from my experience and even from all my friends

RCubed 03-28-2011 05:43 PM

I went 25% rears. I felt like I should did more though, maybe 15% or 10%.
Visibility in the dark isnt that bad. Cars around you have headlights anyways.
Didnt bother with the fronts, didnt want the hassle.

i've got 35 rear 50 front that way it doesn't look so odd with only the back tint

the way i see it, either tint all, or don't tint it at all to keep the clean look

baggdis300 03-28-2011 06:00 PM

lol, my 50% fronts only lasted 2 weeks i was so choked, while my 35% lasted me over a year...

lol 03-28-2011 08:08 PM

I'd go with like a 40 on front and back. I think it looks dumb if you got the back tinted and the front not. Or the front less than the back. Just do it all the same but nothing crazy dark that will attract attention. My friends white g sedan looks nice with 40/40, wish I had a pic.

Drk 03-28-2011 08:14 PM

5% tint so they cant see up in my window
