Class 8L to 6L

Okay, I am currently a class 7 N. I have my class 5 test in September of this year. I just read my roadsense handbook. It says if i have a class 7 and take the test i get an 8L , then after 14 days I can take the motorcycle skills test, then
wait 24 months to get my class 6. Just wondering If i get my 8L now. do the MST, then once i get my class 5 am i eligible to get my class 6 right away? Or should i just wait till i get my class 5, do the knowledge test, then 14 days later the MST, then 30 days later the Driving test?

Sorry if it sounds like jibrish to you.

do the class 5 test first.

once you have your class 5, do the knowledge test, MST and then go for your class 6 road test.

I'm in a similar situation. I've got my 7N and I still have a year before I can get my class 5.

I already took my 8L (motorcycle written), but since I'll be stuck with the 8L for a year, the "no riding at night" just plain makes it not worth it for me.
