Hardest auto race to win (driver skill + stress)?? IYO what is the hardest auto race in the world? In terms of the driver skill involved to not turn yourself into road kill, and the stress behind the skill. Is it Formula 1, the Gt Races, Pikes Peak type stuff, WRC, D1, Nascar, Lemans, suicidal touge passes, etc. Anything that you consider difficult. Maybe even a ranking list. |
bunta tuned ae86 vs boom turbo ae86 endurance rules shomaru road = most stressful race evar!!!1 |
Nascar :troll: One wrong turn and it's over :troll: |
Dakar and anything similar. And just hardest races in general i'd say the iditarod |
+1 for dakar as it is one the most intense races every |
Hm, Dakar vs. 24 hours of Nurburgring? Nighttime on the Nurb is fricking dangerous. |
^ do they set up lights during the 24h nurburgring races or is it pitch black? |

Hard to speak in absolutes, but I would say the 24H du Mans comes to mind first, especially for the idiots that tried to do it for 24H with a single driver (now, mercifully, disallowed). - very high speeds - wheel to wheel racing - massive speed differentials between different classes of cars - most of the circuit is not lit at night - most of the circuit consists of public roads (therefore is not as well kept as a track) As a single event I'd pick Le Mans. From what I know, the Dakar rally would be somewhere on the list due to its sheer length. However, afaik there are no night stages, speeds are lower and there is essentially zero chance of wheel-to-wheel incident. In this case, it's more of long-term physical and mental grind with a much lower chance of severe injury or death. |

isle of man TT. 231 deaths in 100 years. 4 last year http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...atal_accidents http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Man_TT |
Number 3 Road, Richmond during rush hour? :troll: |

that sucks... |
Another vote for Isle of Man TT: "The TT races are extremely dangerous because of the high speeds on very narrow, twisting streets, roads and lanes flanked by stone walls and even buildings." Basically riders going full out through city roads that are closed off, if you watch the videos on youtube there aren't any barriers in some sections so clipping a wall or going off track can often be deadly since you're on a motorcycle. |
|
^ :gasp |
Group B rally, they had some crazy ass fans too, stressful just worrying about hitting them |
+1 for Isle of Man TT. These guys have balls of STEEL!!! |
nurburgring 24hr and the Safari round of WRC imo. |
Well, to try and top Isle of Man TT |
. |
I actually have no idea where this took place LOL I just saw it on youtube and it just send chills down my spine Sick as hell |
that looks fun as hell i'd probably break half the bones in my body 20 seconds into attempting that though and those spectators got some balls standing so close to the jumps without the railings |
