Bad move for Matt IMO, by blaming the other cars doing 200+ easily and then admitting that you were speeding also. Is anyone going to believe that you and ur buddies were just doing a bit over the speed limit?

me too but he pulled some lame "oh it wasn't me it was my friend" card. even though he has previously personally taken a video of himself doing donuts in some parking lot and posted them up here, been spotted numerous times swerving in and out of busy traffic in places like granville and downtown, amongst other things

i guess RS's tolerance for dipshit drivers is higher now. i mean larry chu got banned after one incident, this guy has had several and is still allowed on here and at meets. what gives? i mean, at this point, i'd take larry chu and his spoon caliper covers over this idiot and his daddy sponsored car

and let me say that although it may sound like i have a personal vendetta against him, i don't. i just have a problem with people making our streets any more unsafe than they already are - and that seems like the goal that this kid and his "cool crew" have going on

I was driving the same speed, I never denied that. We were all driving at unsafe speeds on a curvy road. Difference is that I'm not pointing my finger at other members telling them they are unsafe drivers.

Yes, all of the cars on our cruise could have been impounded, so how are we so much better than these guys that got busted?

I think it all comes down to jealousy; some of you guys just can't stand the fact that these kids get supercars given to them for free and are living the life you all dream about every day. It makes you happy to see them suffer a little bit.

Get real RS, if the 13 cars weren't exotics driven by rich kids then these threads would be half the size they are now. Go live your lives, stop bitching about what other people have.

i don't know about you, but i see a very large difference in going 20 km/h over the speed limit at 1 in the morning and going 110 km/h over the speed limit at 3 in the afternoon in rush hour traffic. while both could be considered "reckless", i'd be willing to bet money that a speeding violation would've been the brunt of our punishment. definitely not an impound and definitely not driving without due care

the jealousy rebuttal is getting a bit old. it has nothing to do with jealousy from half the people who are even saying anything. however, it has everything to do with a group of kids who have been previously spotted driving like complete idiots virtually everytime they've been seen, and finally getting nailed for it

i'm willing to wager that if a news story came up about larry chu getting his car impounded came up, people would be all over it too. why, are they jealous of his s2k? nope. it has nothing to do with people being jealous and everything to do with people being happy to see consequences come to those who deserve them

I personally am interested in hearing more aside from that "small correction" to the news reporter. What's the explanation this time? The time he said it was his friend driving his r8 wrecklessly at the end of the summer meet, I thought: "Fine.. we give you the benefit of the doubt. After all, he apologized, he admitted fault, fine.. we've all had our share of foolish mistakes". But this time?? damn.

Is he jailed? if not, he should be. Coz that would scare the daylights out of him. Spend the night there in a jail cell. It'll scare any rich boy straight. It'll scare the daddy straight too.
