I dunno, I find Brian Tee will bring out a darker "hardcore" side of Liu Kang.
The character seemed too much like a flamboyant pansy to me, even in the original MK movie with Robin Shou.
Was never a Liu Kang fan.

First season was shot in Vancouver, many people I know were in it and worked on it. It was an extremely low budget production. I can tell this second season wasn't shot here, and they've recast a bunch of roles.
I'm pretty sure the goal was to make a webseries and see where it would take them. Considering the popularity of the first season, it's clear they were able to pump more money into this next season.
So pumped!

darker, grittier version of him I guess. like AzNightmare mentioned, I guess they're trying to make a more realistic version of LiuKang. perhaps a worn down version of what he used to be like.

Damn... must control myself. I don't want to end up waiting again.
Edit: I had a link to just autoplay the whole series. But I can't seem to get the link to work cause RS auto changes any YouTube link into a nested video.

Super disappointed with this Season. It was still better than any MK Movie that has ever come out I suppose but it still sucked imo. Probably give it a 5/10 at best. I wonder how many people who worked on the first one ended up working on this season because the 1st Season was super badass.

Just finished this and not a big fan of this season.
I hope some heavy changes are made for season 3, if there will be one.
Spoiler!
The pacing felt like a mess, and the series didn't seem to have a strong direction.
Too many actors got replaced for whatever reason, and I hated Johnny Cage's recast. His character was too annoying.
The tournament was rushed into, and while I was still expecting some tournament to begin,
I then realized mid way that the director chose a new variation,
with a "Hunger Games" style tourney where everyone just finds each other and starts fighting.
A lot of it just seemed so pointless. Initially, I thought Liu Kang would have more focus in the storyline, but not really.
Overall, I just expected much more.
