My girlfriend's next period should be any day now, maybe I can drug her into letting me near her vagina. Apparently Nyquil fucks her up really good.

he doesn't have the FRS or BRZ listed in his gallery but based on all the cars he's got overlays for i wouldnt be surprised if he'll be adding that soon
Just got an email from him he actually does have BRZ/FRS items he just hasn't updated his site yet
I'm the idiot that crashed the FR-S. Not really sure where to begin, so I'll start with how it happened.
I was on my way to lunch with a coworker. There's a right turn I've taken a million times over the past 4 years that's very wide and has huge visibility, and I would sometimes get on the gas a little in my B16-swapped CRX through the turn. I never went over the speed limit, and I only did it if there was absolutely no one else around. Being a FWD, the front tires would break free a little and it would make the turn a bit more fun. Well, before leaving work I decided it would be a good idea to turn off the traction control and try something similar in the FR-S. That was my first mistake. I entered the turn at about 20mph, and halfway through it I got on the gas and I honestly can't remember exactly what happened after that. I remember being extremely surprised and then all of a sudden I was careening for a telephone pole, and then bam. I don't even think I hit the brakes. I must've hit the clutch pedal at some point because the car was still running when I stopped. Both airbags deployed. My passenger said he didn't even touch the airbag, I grazed it a little bit and it felt like I got hit in the face with a soft pillow. I must've been going 15-20mph at the impact. I couldn't believe how much the car just crumpled. I just looked at it and sat on the ground. I can't even describe to you the feeling of seeing it like that. I just wanted to cry.
I'm 24 years old, been driving since 16, and this is my first accident/ticket. I was ticketed for "failure to maintain reasonable control", which honestly was extremely generous given the circumstances. I feel like the world's biggest idiot. I feel like I've shamed myself and done a huge disservice to the community. Sorry just doesn't say enough. I swore I wouldn't be one of those guys everyone was saying would do something stupid and wreck the car and drive up the insurance rates. Now I'm not only that guy, but it seems I'm the _first_ guy. Not exactly the best way to make an impression. I want you guys to know that I truly feel awful about the whole thing. I am truly sorry for letting my fellow FR-S owners down, and through making a complete ass out of myself, I feel I've learned a valuable lesson, albeit a hard one. I know some of you (a lot of you) will hate me, call me an idiot, tell me I shouldn't have even tried anything like that on a public road, etc. And I agree with you 100%. I made a stupid, stupid, irresponsible choice, and now I'm paying for it. I don't think any of you can hate me more than I hate myself.
I hope I can stand as an example of what can happen even at relatively low speeds when you're being stupid. Please for the love of god don't be me. Drive safe, keep traction control on on public roads, and don't try to be Ken Block. Unless you are Ken Block, in which case, keep being awesome. "
Ugh... that's an unfortunate (RWD) newbie mistake, but all the ingridents are actually very, very typical of that type of mistake:
1) driver is used to driving FF cars
2) FR-S is... well, an FR car
3) traction control is turned off
3) extra throttle is given mid corner
4) the tires aren't meant for maximum grip
5) the car is equipped with an LSD
Add to the fact that the FR-S is factory tuned to be a little on the tail happy side, and I am hardly surprised by the outcome at all. But once again, incidents/accidents like this are precisely the reason why I always encourage people to come try their hands at the autox so that they can learn the behaviour of their cars in a safe and controlled environment.
If/When more of these incidents start happening, I think there is a good chance Toyota/Subaru would start considering the BRZ's tamer suspension components for the FR-S. After all, that's what Honda did with the AP2 when people started realizing the AP1's snap understeering problem, and the change would be much easier for Toyota/Subaru. They might not even announce anything and just chalk it up as the year-to-year running changes/updates.
Haha... I got the same email from cardomain about that wrecked frs...was gonna post after gym.
So sad to see a white fcuked up frs.
Edit: refreshing to see the owner fess up and admit his failure and stand up to the crowd about disappointing his fellow frs tuners. At least he man'd up and not " keep up next time" or something.

I'm sure you're right there about toyota going with the tamer suspension. they've been doing that for years really especially with the mr2s. they revise it to make it safer and to "fix" the snap oversteer issues if there are any, then later on, enthusiast will complain about the newer/heavier/less fun fixes and head back to the zenki models.
that being said, surprisingly on the original ae86 they didnt do any drastic changes. only minor things including:
-beefier rear axles
-diagnositic box in the harness
-third brake light
-nicer looking eye lids for hidden lights
-nicer interior

buddy only been driving FWD his whole driving career, and decides to push his FR-S by turning off traction control and guns it. that's definitely asking for disaster to happen.
one thing I noted during his story was that he stomped on the throttle in mid-corner. big no-no on a RWD unless you're confident that you have the traction to support such a big input. he also mentions that when he would take that corner in his old CRX, the car would push out (understeer). another indication that he was taking on this "familiar" corner with too much speed.
adding to what duy- posted on revising the suspension, I wonder if Toyota will add a staggered tire/wheel set up down the line to combat oversteer characteristics. that's another thing Toyota did back in the SW20 days.

They could just spec grippier rubber than the stock Prius tires.
IMO Toyota worked so hard to make the handling direct and neutral to allow for throttle controlled oversteer, I don't think they will do anything to take it away. There is a safety system already with the TC so if owners choose to deactivate that safety net themselves, why should Toyota have to neuter the whole car? By all accounts the FRS doesn't exhibit extreme oversteer or even snap oversteer like the MR2 did
Get there early to try and get a second go. 2 laps at a time didn't really allow much but I sweet talked a second go in and got to take tc off and get a little sideways. Got into 2nd briefly on the straight but was in 1st for the test. Good fun. Can wait to try the manual gearbox and ordering one is looking a lot more likely now.
