not a big fan of the rear, but id do her |
That's crazy loud exhaust for stock NA 4banger motor. Did they record it from the engine bay on 2nd clip ? |
has anyone else noticed the ugly steering wheel yet? |
|
Has a really crappy stance for something sporty... |
the entire design team in toyota and honda needs to be shot |
I like the brz better But the wing on the navy blue 86 fills out the car better. And what is with the stock 4x4 stance. Posted via RS Mobile |
damn thats some massive fender gap. Needs to be lowered immediately! Other than that, it looks nice. Something fun out of the Toyota lineup. |
hmm I actually think this is sick! The navy one reminds me of a supra hah. |
|
So.....why do people refer this to an 86? |
i dont mind the engine noise.. but it seems wrong that a toyota sounds like a scooby... at least itll sound right in the BR-Z. too bad it wont sound like a 20v swapped ae86.... those 4AG's sing a nice song in the high revs... |
not sure if want those tail lights |
http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...57764756_n.jpg hmmm.... I can dig it it does have that slick compact sporty look to it...and the taillights remind me of the Celica...which isn't necessarily a bad thing |
let see Takumi Fujiwara ae86 can beat the new one.....hahah ill be seeing this on initial d battle stage or arcade very soon!!! lol lmao:fuckyea: |
Can't wait for mine to arrive.... Should be the first shipment to arrive in Hk! Now just need Toyota to announce the JDM pricing.... I'm expecting the car to cost around the same as the FD2-R My frds at Revozport will be launching a whole line of carbon fiber stuff for the 86 and BRZ |

Ehhh... don't like it. It's missing something that I can't quite put my finger on it. As for the wheel gap, it's likely due to a cheap workaround to fixing side collision ratings. You can either get a super high door panel like the 300, or you simply raise the suspension up a bit so that the cage is more in line with bumpers. |
eh.... what are design teams smoking between concept and production? :/ edit: maybe they're just funny pictures.... the other thread has some nicer ones.... i dunno it feels different from the concept but when you compare the concept pics it looks pretty much the same..... getting a different vibe tho :crazy2: |

I don't how how I feel on that...its there, kind of but I agree, its missing a little something. It's like the design is too complicated for it to be simple, but not complex enough to not to be simple? What are the specs? HP torque...turbo'd out of factory? I'm assuming front wheel drive...its a toyota. |
Hmm...just went and looked it up...200 hp and rear wheel drive. Who cares what it looks like, we can fix that. . Nicely done. |
they should have left the iconic AE86 to rest in peace... this looks heavy and big... |
funny how they named it the 86... mightve been better to name it the GT-S or Toyota Sprinter Trueno or smth like that. im guessing the chassis code is forced to be FT86. wonder if theyll make a low budget SOHC model... FT85 :troll: |
http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...93951136_n.jpg Looks better than the Hyundai IMO, and not as bulky as the 370z. Only problem is that I think its under powered. |
