Anyone here speak vietnamese?

I found this Celica GTS that I'm interested in, but I called the guy, and he had HORRIBLE english and I think he made out the words.. "I speak vietnamese".

So uh, if any of you guys speak vietnamese, can you please ask him a few things about the vehicle:

- Has the vehicle been in any accidents?
- Are you the original Owner
- Any known problems?
- Why are you selling it

Another question, how do I tell if this vehicle is "legit". Guess I should go through Carproof/Carfax?

to find out if legit you need to run a VIN check from ICBC or Carfax or w/e

wtf why would you want that POS? 10k for a 8yr old celica....?

Nlkko 04-25-2011 05:54 PM

Don't pay 10,000 for that. The Veilside kit is on the rice list, ask any guy on newcelica.org.

Worth around 7,000-8,000 if it's mechanically sound.

well i kinda want a car in the sub 10k range.

What do you guys suggest then. I agree this car is riced (whored) up, so even if this car was legit, I'd take off all the crap to make it look stock.

FN-2199 04-25-2011 09:11 PM

De-ricing project you say? :fullofwin:

greendb7 04-25-2011 09:14 PM

You'd spend more money turning it back to oem stock than buying a stock one dude, look harder you can find other great cars for that much.
For your price range I'd suggest looking at an RSX, heck you can get an Integra Type R for that much if you look hard enough and these are cars that are fun and relatively cheaper to mod and play with.
Spend a tad bit more you can look at S2000's and 350z's.
Just what I'd go for personally
