the civic had more power, more torque, lighter weight...the only disadvantage that shows on the chart is 5 speed instead of 6 speed
but with 90 more hp, 10 lb more torque, lighter weight...it should've done better

Also what a stupid show. Because the cars they use are not stock and have different drivers, the race results have no meaning whatsoever. But I doubt the guys on that show (and most likely the viewers as well) care much (or understand for that matter LOL) about following proper scientific protocols anyhow.
