We shouldn't really complain. Taxi drivers and people who making their living on the road must be more hard hit than us "leisure" or "point A to point B" drivers.

No wonder Taxi drivers drive so damn fast. They need more customers.

I like how people honk the crap out of you if you dont creep up if theres even half a car space ahead. Clutch wasters.

i made some adjustments myself... as a trial for May.. no driving to work..instead..invested in a 3zone translink pass and let them do the driving.

I can give up the nice car (although i'm quite content with the TL's mileage of, on average, 525-550km to tank of premium)...and settle for a civic 5spd manual which gets about 625km to a full tank of regular gas...but i'm not going to.

just gotta make some lifestyle adjustments i guess...for the interim... and yes, WOW renewal definitely!

spoon.ek9 05-02-2011 10:20 AM

so glad i have my EF for daily driving right now. averaging 7.0L/100km all city driving :D

the EK isn't too far off, but it uses 94 octane!

Filled up the first time for my car. 86 bucks from empty. Fml

regular or premium... you will get fucked in the ass both ways... just not as bad with regular... i dont think downgrading to a 4 cyl civic would save that much gas..

Volvo-brickster 05-02-2011 07:40 PM

honestly...gas would have to hit $2.50 before i would even change any of my driving habits

driving is a privilege....enjoy while you can !

It depends on what you drive. I have a 4 cylinder Subaru and it would still save me about 30%. That is already significant.

hirevtuner 05-02-2011 08:02 PM

i combine running my errands with one car trip so i don't have drive so many times

cdizzle_996 05-02-2011 08:12 PM

I've been going down to the states. I typically save 17-20 a tank. I live 5 mins away from the sumas border, so its not much of a hassle. I paid 45 yesterday for 10.9 gallons of premium for my S2000.

This really helps almost not at all, but you can scope out your best local price on Vancouvergasprices.com. Just switch it to your local region.

Death2Theft 05-02-2011 10:14 PM

For those with a boring commute to work anyways whats the point of doing the 9-5 commute doing bumper to bumper in anything but a beater? Leave you more money to enjoy your weekend toys and hopefully get out of the fwd econoboxes.
I'd rather get an ipad and browse RS while the bus driver does his job.

the bubble bursted for crude oil. Its now below 100 dollars per barrel and with oversupply in the market of oil. Numbers are showing lower demand for gas in US and gas prices will trickle down slowly. It seems that they're expecting a 50cent drop in gas per gallon by the end of summer.
