yup saw that on the way to work. WTF doesn't look like the price of oil falling has any effect on these damn prices.

evil_jigglypuff 05-11-2011 07:04 AM

Anybody know how much gas is in blaine? Thinking of driving there this morning as I'm closer there than to pt roberts...

melloman 05-11-2011 07:31 AM

I don't know about Blaine, but damn 1.43/L is ridiculous.

!e.lo_ 05-11-2011 11:01 AM

I saw 1.43 yesterday as well, but then 1.36 at another chevron.

Gas stations should start showing porn movies on the screens at the pumps so that you can watch someone else get fucked the same time you do...

spoon.ek9 05-11-2011 11:34 PM

lol.. wow.. this is just massive, blatant, in-your-face price gouging.

I've seen this before. Yet you have to understand, the economies there in Europe are way more stable then here.. Price of living, there is actually reasonable. Here, you make pennys and are expected to pay millions for shit. (If that makes any sense)

The cost of living in Vancouver is just ridiculous and gas prices don't help, fucking inflation out the ass.

Edit: I'm just waiting for the bubble to BURST here in Vancouver, let the housing market crash, and let gas prices fall. Probably make life much easier for everyone.

cost of crude oil went down 15%, eastern canada already dropped 6 cents

western canada will change too, so expect a 6 cent drop

1exotic 07-07-2011 02:06 AM

a few days ago saw some stations in Coquitlam listed at $1.22... and it went back up to $1.31 the next morning... that was kind of fooked up.

!Yaminashi 07-07-2011 09:32 AM

Its funny how nowadays we think 128.x is CHEAP
I still remember when it was below 1.20, and before I was even able to drive years and years ago less than .80

tool001 07-07-2011 11:34 AM

^ lol people just get used to take it in deeper..thats all

hirevtuner 07-07-2011 02:26 PM

they had said that the prices in the summertime to be over $1.50/l
consider this not so bad @ $1.30

Death2Theft 07-07-2011 10:01 PM

Price of crude has NOTHING to do with the price at the pump you fucking newb. Look at how the price of crude has moved in the past 5 years and see if u see how you can possibly match that with the pump.

Sure it does. When Crude goes up, gas prices go up. When crude goes down, gas prices don't go up as fast, usually.

I know we can do this all day but when I was a kid, in the early 80's, there were times when gas was actually cheaper than propane at $0.21/L. The other huge price drop in fuel was when ARCO came to town, sometime in the 90's IIRC. Prices dropped to under $0.45/L and diesel was under $0.30/L. Man, I miss those days.
