Knowing blackberry those QNX phones will probably be delayed till Q3 or Q4 2012. I think there is no way they will release it in Q1.

Nabatron 08-18-2011 03:11 PM

!Yaminashi 08-18-2011 03:14 PM

How are you guys finding the build quality/finish?
Any creaking of any sort/weird clicky noises/play in plastic parts etc?

I'm hoping that RIM has learned a thing or two about actually FINISHING a product properly

I think the build quality compared to my plastic feeling piece of shit bold 9780 is light years ahead haha...my 9900 feels really durable in the hand and just feels over all high end compared to my previous berries 9780, 8900. No cracking, creaking, weird noises at all. The forged steel bezel is awesome finally RIM pulled there head out of their asses and used high end materials on the 9900 compared to the plastic bezels that look like metal. But unfortunately on the other berries like the new 9810 and 9860 I think they still stuck with plastic bezels on those.

^ nailed it

This device is solid and well finished. Feels like a quality well built device. Battery door doesn't move, no creaks, all the seams have tight tolerances, and no flex anywhere. Play with one in the store because its lightyears ahead of any other BB to this date.

Wishing battery life could be a bit better... barely getting 2 full days, with very little talking, moderate bbm/app use. Oh well, still a sick phone.

Starting to love the touch screen, very handy :)

I hate holsters. I just can't clip a phone to my belt.
Although I might grind off the clip part, and keep it in my pocket like that... until I find a case I like.

Build quality seems awesome though. Doesn't really feel like a typical BB...

Telus is only $149.99

edit: nvm you're talking about the torch.

valent|n0 08-23-2011 10:04 PM

where can I get the best price for bold touch without term ??

I can think of buying from the provider direct.. rogers, telus or bell

any other place NCIX , or some sort has this for sale?

Rogers wireless website shows $549 out right. but when I phone in they want $575 I didn't bother asking why its different with the website

Thanks

Simplex123 08-23-2011 10:30 PM

You got to go to RogersPlus stores (Rogers Video) to get it for no term. They will sell it to you for sure as they are a corporate store. I got mine from Tsawwassen for $549.99. That was the only store that had it last Saturday.

josayeee 08-24-2011 12:41 AM

does anyone know what the youtube quality is like on the 9900? is it still crappy like the. 9700?

Simplex123 08-24-2011 06:56 AM

The quality to me is decent for a mobile device. You can even click the 720P, but it'd be sound only haha

The rumour is that the next blackberry smartphones will run Andriod apps , I guess it is RIM's time to dominate.

The demand for this phone is pretty crazy. I've been trying to get a group buy going but can't seem to get more than 3 phones at a time : (. Oh wells, wait till mid September

PornMaster 08-24-2011 11:22 PM

Got it today and 100% happy with it.
Snappy phone with no lag.

its just like old dependable berry but on steroids!
yes it doesnt have games and apps like android and iphone.
But I dont give a fuck my phone is for business not pleasure.
blasting thru emails and messages with the physical keyboard can not be beat by touch screen keyboards
