i almost want to get the phone just so i can get this case... Case-Mate Barely There for BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 - Brushed Aluminum Silver - CrackBerry Canada

I just switched from my Samsung S2 to the Bold 9900 yesterday. I prefer the bb over the samsung hands down.

Anyone having problems with Bell changes? apparently their network is messed up and all new sims are having issues. Everything works but when ppl try to call your number it says your number is out of service

PornMaster 08-25-2011 09:55 AM

anyone having email problems?
I have 3 accounts on my BB and throughout the day I have to resend the service books couple times because my email accounts just dissappear and stop receiving emails.

once I resend the books the icons appear and I receive emails again.
However this is annoying because I have to send out an email and if the icon disseapears I can not send the email but it saves a draft instead....

anyone know fix?

edit: when the accounts dissapear i go to the email setup and the 3 accounts are still present.

There seem to be some problems with the OS preloaded with the Rogers devices, it kept restarting itself for unknown reasons, until i updated to the most recent leak.

This is where you're wrong ;)
I use to have that same narrow minded thinking until I actually got use to the touch screen keyboard.
I type just as fast, if not faster on my SGS2

However, to each his own. I've played with the 9900 and it seems like a pretty solid berry but I wont be getting another
berry unless its free :lol

try emailing with touchscreen while driving :troll:

No problem! Voice to text works quite well actually, and I dont even need to be looking at the phone

fsy82 08-25-2011 11:23 AM

bb has voice to text as well. i prefer the bb over the samsung just cause i run a business. i noticed with the samsung the emails were delayed quite a bit. with the bb you get it instantly

!Yaminashi 08-25-2011 11:29 AM

Well yeah thats obviously where the Berry will shine, emails

There's a delay but I mean you can set it to refresh every x amount of minutes.
Dont get me wrong I'm not knocking the 9900, it seems like a solid phone and a step in the right direction for RIM, but whether its too little too late is another thing.

I loved my berry when I had it, but I just prefer android for the versatility

v850 08-25-2011 11:34 AM

i wanna go grab it today but so pricey :(

Oh definitely I hear what your saying. I tried the Samsung but it doesnt really cater to my needs. It really depends on the individual I think. Hopefully RIM does the smart move and does incorporate android apps into its phones.

try typing while walking without looking at your phone..... hehehe.

I found after I got used to my iPhone (my work phone), I can type a lot faster (still nowhere as fast as my bb), but I get a lot more mistakes.

2,700 smartphones stolen from Mississauga warehouse
Published On Thu Aug 25 2011Email Print
Peel police are investigating the theft of thousands of Blackberry smartphones from a Mississauga warehouse.

They believe the suspects went into the warehouse on Slough St. between the evening of Aug. 19 and the evening of Aug. 20.

They stole three skid crates of Blackberry 9810 phones, two thirds of which were white and a third of which were grey, according to police.

Police put their street value at 1.1 million dollars.

The 2700 stolen phones’ identification and PIN numbers are recorded with police.

They are reminding the public that being found in possession of a stolen smartphone is a criminal offence.

Police have no information on any suspects yet.

I find myself looking at my phone a lot more when I have my BB compared to my Nexus S. I don't know what it is but I'm just constantly texting and BBMing now haha
Maybe it's the notification light

LOL that's all that is needed to be said.

Just got the phone today. Have to say this is the nicest BB phone I have used. I didn't think they could improve on a keyboard. Well, clearly I was wrong. Its got the perfect feel. Touchscreen is snappy and fast. Browser is finally usable. Good job rim. Nice temporary recovery.
