Yes you can via blackberry desktop software.
I'm not sure where to go on a Windows because I'm using a macbook.

I think you can do it from BlackBerry Protect but the best way is to do it through device switch in Setup. There is an icon within Setup called device switch (at least in my 9900) and you can do it through MicroSD or BB Desktop Manager.

If you do go with BBDM, just connect with USB and then click Device > Switch Devices and follow through.

Does the 9900 use more data than the 9700?
When I had the 9700 I could barely pass 200mb data with maximal use.
9900, I exceed 500mb with mild usage.

I'm curious to know which OS people are running, and also if there are other OS versions which is the most recent and works best. I recently went into Options > Device > Software update and came across the 7.0 Bundle 2406 v7.0.0.585 update and installed it, since then my phone has been running noticebaly faster and is a lot more responsive, I'm hoping it lasts this way for a long time and doesn't start freezing up, also the battery life seems to be better with the same amount of usage (medium-heavy, mostly IM/txt, browsing, voice, etc). Anyone else do this update? Is this the most recent and most efficient OS version? Any info on this would be much appreciated!

Btw I am currently with Fido and using an unlocked Rogers Bold 9900!

just like to say this thing is the biggest piece of shit ever. so many damn problems, black screen, music skips, phone calls skip, holy shit. been trying to fix this thing for the past 4 days and i have done almost every possible way to reload the OS and this thing still doesnt work. worked problem free for maybe 3 months, then one day it just decided to take a shit on me.

I'm on .540 and it's been alright for me so I've been to lazy to update to .590 which is the newest official one available. But if you wanna know more about .585 check it out here: Official OS 7.0.0.585 for the Bold 9900 - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

You say that you have done every possible way to reload the OS meaning you did not successfully install the OS, or have you been reloading the same OS? If it is that OS that has problems for your phone then try installing another one.

tried every os, every version and every OS from every service provider fido, rogers, bell, atnt. my phone is from bell but i gave it a try anyways. sometimes it loads successfully but the problem are still there. half the time i cant connect to the jvm. even when it installs successfully i still get phone calls skip, music skips, videos skips, screen goes black half the time i press lock. tried the app loader, bb desktop, bbsak dont know what else is there. i've even tried 3 different computers. is there any place in vancouver good with this stuff?

dont know too much about this.. but if I were to install a mobilicity firmware on a non AWS 9900 would it work? https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...wseSoftware.do

basically wondering if it is the firmware that makes it AWS or the phone itself.

doesn't work on my 9780 either. must be the new "censorship" thing that affected the mobile version?

RS has been on and off from the very first day I got my 9900 (October)
80% of the time, it would load for a long time, then come out with an Error page.
Error code: 10005, anyone else have the same issue?

Post your connection issue in this thread: http://www.revscene.net/forums/653477-rs-mobile.html

Also, since Skinny asked for it before post up your IP address from your BB (What Is My IP Address? Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more...) as per his request in the BB PB thread.

Damn RIM servers, seriously.
