I agree though that the carbon fibre back is a little tacky; but I remember hearing a rumour that it's due to a leather back getting too hot
And the screen is amazing; I used to feel jealous of my gf's iphone4 screen, but this one is just as good.
The phone has also shown no lag so far
The web browser is also great, matching my previous androids' performance, although the lack of flash support has been a bummer
If any one wants to know anything specific lemme know!

hows twitter/browsing regular websites like facebook, and websites like national geographic desktop.

Hey insomnia they dont take cash for a payment? thats weird lol. Do u buy it and leave or do you have to write and sign some papers?

6insomnia9 08-11-2011 04:15 PM

They don't take cash payments cause in the past they had a lot of break ins and so they only take credit/debit cards . I just paid and left but he took my information for warrenty purposes and to show proof of payment.

Tried natgeo.com on both the Bold and my old HTC Desire.
The mobile website loaded super quick, and the full website displayed everything properly. Love the option of using the trackpad as a mouse for more precise selecting.
In both instances the Bold loaded the website faster.
I can't seem to get the full version of facebook to load.
Apparently only way to get full version of websites to load automatically is to get a different browser

We don't have actual "4G" in Canada yet. It's only HSPA+, not LTE.

From what I remember the 9900 is capable of up to 14.4Mbs down, so in real world tests I'm guessing anywhere from 2-4Mbs down.

I can test it tomorrow, picking up my Telus one the second it gets shipped in.

Improved browser for faster loading of web and Flash® pages

thats off the telus website.

maybe future development?

How is the lock/unlock button on this phone? I could tolerate every flaw on the torch, but not the flappity loose lock/unlock button on the torch.

For the most part, I don't think these phones will be able to support flash through their browsers (at least not yet). That's probably going to be something for the BBs with QNX coming out next year (Q1 2012).
