6insomnia9 08-12-2011 12:42 PM

Discount and they give instant unlock codes after you pay.

It is a 5 dollar discount.

wstce92 08-12-2011 01:27 PM

Lol, yeah, for those who bought the Bold at $250;
Call into Rogers and they'll honor the price difference
Just did it

How is the camera on the 9900, say compared to the 9780? I'm kind of worried about the "all focus". The pictures that Kevin took on CB were quite bad, especially the macro one lol

Nabatron 08-12-2011 03:19 PM

the pictures arent too bad! but I would say my camera on my old 9780 is better I think myself!

PornMaster 08-12-2011 03:23 PM

discount code does not work anymore since yesterday

6insomnia9 08-12-2011 03:24 PM

Yeh it is true there is no auto focus on the 9900

But the pictures always depends on the time of day, the lighting and the photographer , overall I think it isn't such a huge disavantage without auto focus. It isn't too off from the 9780. But hey thumps up for the 720p recording!

doesnt anybody find 9900 to wide, arnt hight / width dimensions same as 9000? i use 2 bb, 1) 9000 (work ) and 9780 (personal). always hated the width of 9000?

i want to order a new bb for work, cant decide 9810 or 9900

6insomnia9 08-12-2011 09:12 PM

The dimensions of the phone should be on gsmarena.com

I think its similar to 9000 in terms of size but half the width of it, this is the thinnest blackberry to hit the market to this date.

Guess you'll need to wait for the 9790 if you want dimensions smaller than the 9900.

The standby button is much better, I came from the Torch and it would always unlock once I put it in my pocket or moved around.

9900 is sick!

How's the battery so far? (for those already rockin' one)

Fcukedd 08-13-2011 08:25 PM

I wish I can get the 9900, but I have warranty on my 9780 for 2 years, and it's only been 6 months. :okay:

2 full days with quite a bit of text messaging, emails, bbm, about 15 minutes of phone calls, light web browsing, and about 30 minutes of bluetooth audio streaming in the car. Screen on brightest and bluetooth constantly on.

and just in case anyone can't wait, The Telephone Booth has screen protectors and one type of soft case for the 9900; very steep pricing though

avinayyar 08-14-2011 01:51 AM

If anybody needs a free 9900 unlock code, PM me.

v850 08-14-2011 08:48 AM

i think its out on rogers, its on the site atleast

Lowered_Klass 08-14-2011 11:20 AM

Couldn't wait any longer, went out first thing this morning and picked one up :)

Only shitty thing, I can't set up one of my email addresses, tells me its an invalid email or password, when I know FOR SURE they're both right :(

Simplex123 08-14-2011 11:28 AM

^I needa wait for my Bell to get one in stock, they'll sell it to me for 600 tax included :D and there's no branding either

Just got the bold. Its night and day compared to 9780. They really made this phone very appealing before QNX comes out

Battery life on the new bold is similar compared to 9780. It'll last a day n half with normal use

6insomnia9 08-14-2011 12:08 PM

The battery is smaller than the one on 97xx, but it does the job.

Noizz 08-14-2011 08:19 PM

I took mine off the charger today at 930 this morning, so about 12 hours and I'm at 13%.

7%/hr is crap, my torch did 4%/hr.

I'm using .269 OS though, my friends who just got it say their battery is the shits on .261 (stock Rogers).

Going to do a wipe and selective restore and cycle the battery tonight and see if it improves.
