Can we attend two universities at the same time? Here is my situation.. I recently just got accepted into the BCIT nursing program and will be starting in January. The thing is I am going into my 4th year at SFU this september which means I will be finishing my degree that summer or fall, I dont like how I am just leaving behind those 3 years of post secondary when I could just tough it out for 1 more year and get another degree.. I know a science degree is useless though but I would at least want to have something accomplished from those years. So I am wondering, is it possible to be enrolled in the BCIT nursing program but take online courses to finsih up my degree at SFU? Thanks! |
Yes. I don't see what would stop you and you should totally finish your science degree. It will be mega useful if you decide to do a Masters in nursing later. |
I don't see a problem but if I were you I would make sure my exams don't conflict with each other. |
You won't be able to do it. Especially nursing at BCIT. Why not wait till your done your program at BCIT (career) then worry about it after. |
You are able to attend different post secondary institutions at one time, just make sure that exams, lectures, labs, do not overlap each other. Many schools have strict policies that do not allow you to take exams on alternate dates. Quote:
BCIT programs are known for their intensity. It would be wise to concentrate on the one program. However, a suggestion would be to lower your course load, i.e. 1 online course at SFU while starting your studies at BCIT in January. Try it for a semester and see if your happy with your grades. I know one person who had finished his CompSci program at BCIT while he continued his studies at UBC. I recall him sleeping over night on desks at BCIT during midterms and finals. |
i heard some professional programs at UBC can let you defer your acceptance by one year if you wanna finish off a degree..ask if that option is available. |
