| Paint Restrictions
Sorry guys, my google-fu is weak.
I did a quick search on what is road legal for paint on both google and the transport Canada site.
I'm assuming there has to be some sort of limit on reflectivity or electro luminescence. I mean you can't possibly have stainless steel body panels and polish them to a mirror finish. Is there some sort of vague blanket "must not be distracting" clause in there? What about colors? I've seen some rice-rockets with day-glow neon green or pink rims.
Thanks for helping me out with this dumbass query.

Maybe try the police forum, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say there aren't restrictions on car colour.. Posted via RS Mobile |

I'm going to be patient and ask a mod to move this over for me? Fingers crossed that saving forum clutter is the right thing to do?

The Delorean didn't even have paint... but that was more of a brushed finish

I'm not aware of any paint colour restrictions in the MV Regs in BC. BTW, the Delorean is a matte finished stainless steel. A friend of mine has one in the local British car club. He says you can clean the metal with Ajax if you want to...like you would with your sink.

Ditto here, although you could run into problems with reflective paint I suppose. Division 4 does say that all reflectors must be approved.

Hmmm, ok, I'm still wanting to get my scooter to have a slight glimmer to it in the dark. Nothing as crazy as a stop sign, but more than just your average pearlescent paint. Do you guys think that would really be too distracting?
I'm thinking it would only be bad for people with poorly installed aftermarket HIDs. Right back at you buddy.
