FML curbed rims

So after driving a SUV with awesome power steering and easy visibility for the winter and not my Z for almost 2 years, I deciding to bring it out today to fail aircare so I can get a 3 month insurance pass for the summer time. Just happened to go to dinner with a pretty lady friend, and while distracted by a stimulating and intriguing conversation, I made the mistake of deciding to parallel park in a super tight spot on a busy street... With no power steering on 10 inch wide + super stretch rims, I forgot how hard it was to parallel park the damn thing while trying to multitask, talk + laugh at the same time! Oh yea... BAM curbed...

Definitely a horrible feeling... The sound alone of your rim scraping against the curb is heart breaking hah.

it's every so slightly bent... but maybe a good 3 inch.. stupid thing was it was so tight I curbed it twice HAHA.

Super Fail, I'm really good parallel parking too.. just had a distraction haha and not used to the positioning of the wheels anymore cuz they stick out alot.

It's ok, the rims have a 4 inch stepped lip so the curbed part is a thin piece of metal and the reflections make it less noticeable. But yea, it sucks hearing that sound...

jtanner your evo is pretty damn sexy! It's my fav drift car in gt5 haha

I was in the exact same situation lol, drove on my low pro tires + rims for 2 years without ever curbing. the one time i went out for dinner and having an engaged conversation, i scratched the passenger side front rim while paralelling in downtown.

Lip is chrome but they're diamond racing wheels so the rim is cheaper than re finishing haha.

I think the lesson here is that guys can't multitask haha

ORRRR, use the oppurtunity to refinish the rim in a different color, or even black chrome color the lip!

i know my chrome wheels will eventually go, and when they do, thats what i plan on doing.

The rims are diamond racing wheels so they're only $100 each, cheaper than to refinish haha
