Questions about HID's

Hello, I want to do a conversion to my bike upgrade the H4 halogens with HID's. I have searched around but can't find the answers i need.

I know there is a heat difference compared to halogens but it's very vague.
Can some one tell me how hot 35w hid's are and how hot the 55w are compared to halogens? (it's kinda confusing because many sellers say that HID's run cooler then halogens).

I know I can get 35w and 55w HID's, I also have heard I can get a high 55w and low 35w. Ideally that's what I want, I realize the 55w are extremely bright but would make a good high beam when no one is around, having the 35w/55w combo would give be the best of both worlds. Any one know where I can get something like that, ideally off ebay?

Thanks for your help.

just stick with the 35w, 55 will have a good chance of melting your housings. i have 35w on high and low beam on my bike and its more than enough 90% of the time.

We have HID's. You'd probably want something with a waterproof ballast. Oh and something thin of course. Not much space

if you really want, get PIAA 3 stage HID

it's adjustable between 25W, 35W and 45W
