02 Civic Rear Defrost issue

Yesterday, I noticed my rear defrost for my rear window on my 02 Civic isn't working. It was pissing rain on Friday and the water didn't evaporate and all I could see at night was this blurry blotch of car lights when I glance at mirror.

My rear defrost button lights up when I press on it. I felt the connectors on both sides when I got home, it was a little warm, so I believe voltage is running through (But I won't know until I get my buddy to check it with a multimeter tomorrow).

I can't seem to figure out what is wrong, anyone have any similar issues or insight to this? Thanks in advance!

I actually think I remember seeing a thread about the same issue on a 7th gen before and the cause was a bad ground connection, try searching for an answer here: civicforums.com.
