1998 COROLLA ENGINE NOISE

Engine noise, please help me determine what the problem is.

As I was climbing up a hill, not so steep, about 38-40 degrees incline, was going around 50 km/h @ around 3500-4000 rpms.

this noise kicked in, and stayed like this until now.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HL5yi...ature=youtu.be

Pretty much something sounds broken in the engine ?

please input on this.

TIA

Get someone to pulse the throttle while you listen under the hood. It should be easy to find.

Exhaust manifold to downpipe gasket/donut would be my first guess.

Others - hole in exhaust downpipe, exhaust manifold gasket, cracked exhaust manifold.

All relatively cheap, DIY jobs $15 - $100

Edit: I guess it's good to liusten to the whole vid. Sounds more like the downpipe is busted.

X2 on the cracked down pipe, or Maybe a bolt backed off of that holds the exhaust to the down pipe.

yes.. The flange dropped about 2 inches away from the manifold... nothing cracked at least.. i think the bolt rattled off the track and is now somewhere on the road.

heres a sample of what is disconnect from my manifold
