hey good to hear at least a few people on this forum has an rx8 so many views on this thread and barely any posts! You should come join rx8club if you haven't theres a new vancouver rx8 club thread on there that we are setting up meets and greets and one of the guys on there is going to set up a facebook group so we know whos going to come to the meets and what not...
Who cares about the oil!!.....its the 94 octane thats killin' me.
Ya the oil doesn't bother me at oil not a big deal! the gas is the shitty part you use 94 octane? Notice any difference from 91 to 94? I use 91 octane myself!
I just use 91 octane like my manual says dont really know if theres a huge difference if I use 94 or not but people on the rx8club say if you use regular gas(87) then it bogs down the cars performance and what not
I was close to picking one up but the guy at the dealership actually told me that they are problematic, I said okay and never asked why.. I heard that you need to redline them all the time in order to remove the carbon build up in the motor.

Ya thats one thing you need to do but you dont have to do it every single day...plus who doesn't like red linning their cars..Its not a bad car one you figure it out...just most people are lazy fucks and dont know how to take care of shit...
are you required to use higher octane fuel? On the race cars, we use 87 and never had a problem. The Rotary engine is not that high of a compression.
Cool..I did not know that anyone in the lower mainland raced 8's.
I'd love to come out and see ya, have a look at your cars, maybe pick your brain a little.
