Are you trying to fly a DSLR or a smaller camera? I've seen people use the ball head as a gimbal and shoot with it pretty steady. Or people use the PVC and bearings and make their own. It's super tedious though. If you want Jimmy I can sell you my Flycam and you can call it a day. It can hold a pretty good weight.

Yeah I saw this on Cheesycam! I was going to buy it this week but its out of stock! The other 8ft ones on eBay dont use bearings . I'll just wait till they come back in stock. Olivia is pretty easy on the eyes in that video  | |

I got a nex5 w/ my nikon lens + d7000 so weight might be an issue

I picked up a Vari ND filter. I was torn between a $400 singh-ray (excellent quality) or a $125 lightcraft workshop (poor blurry iq). Then i found this company in Shanghai called GreenL that made a $39 one. I bought it and holy shit! cheap + sharp sharp sharp! made a review with sample shots for those looking for a vari ND for video + photo A vari-ND review

I found out some of the Singh Ray ones also have a CPL built in too which would be pretty sick for a 3 in one filter. Yeah I'm going to have to invest in one soon. I had to shoot some of my videos at like F16-F22 because of the 1/50th shutter speed for 24fps andit actually reduced sharpness but it was necessary or else the entire video was blown out.
Thanks for the vari nd review. Def need to look into them.

well u can shoot at F1.4 but just need to bump to 1/xxxx and end up with a saving private ryan looking film haha

Which in some cases looks absolutely terrible. The 180 rule for video helps out so much with the cine look. Just as I typed this the mail man dropped off my slider. From Korea to my house in less then 4 days. Impressed. I'll make a review shortly!
