I'm not saying its not a reasonable price. That thing replaces pro level dollies, sliders, tracks, streadicam and maybe tripods. Posted via RS Mobile |

I like that it has a modular motor that just snaps on.
However, 2ft is quite short and it's not even actually 2ft.

Need help deciding as I'm not sure which will be the better option. Glidecam HD4000 or HD2000 ??
Planning to use it with a D7100 plus Tokina 11-16

HD2000 will be just fine! I used the 5D2 with a Tokina on my HD2000 and I only had to use one of the weights on each one. Now Im using the 24L on it and its nearly the same weight. Save yourself some weight and money and just get the 2000.

Sweet! Thanks! I'm suppose to try out Lomac's glidecam before I buy one from bhphotovideo to see if it really does handle all that weight.
Should I purchase Manfrotto 577 quick plate as well? Glidecam HD2000 Stabilizer System With 577 QR Plate Kit B&H
I'm not sure if adding this plate will cause an issue with weight. |

Pro tip:
Buy the Calumet QR (Manfrotto knock offs which are backwards compatible) SO much cheaper. I have these on all my tools when I switch around between that and the shoulder mount or monopod.
