PurePower Oil Products

Hi guys, Hopefully this isnt a repost. I did a bit of searching, and found that there is already a thread about motor oil, but seems that most posts were about how many KMs etc to change etc.

This article that my brother found is quite interesting. It is a fairly long read.

http://www0.epinions.com/content_5153071236

Some notes:

- 5w30 oils are bad. use 10w30 or 15w40. (5w is full of solvents, and is just a diluted 10w).
- Synthetic Oils are bad for the engine. (synthetic contain plastics/polymers that is acidic and stick to engine).
- Regular Paper oil filters dont actually filter. the oil only runs BY it, not THROUGH it.

Again forgive me if this is a repost, as I havent been on RS very long, and never heard anything bad about synthetic oils. Everyone usually brags about "I use only synthetic in my baby".

If anyone has any opinions please do share. I will probably continue using Synthetic and OEM filters (just bought some castrol edge yesterday lol).

as you could probably tell, the ad is bashing synthetics and all that stuff in favor of trying to advertise their PurePower products.
