dont buy from Automart

so i called Automart in ritchmond looking for a bumper and a hood for my car and i asked him how much it would be for both of them and he told me 300 for the bumper and the hood, i made sure that he said 300 for both and not just one or the other. i drove all the way out there from maple ridge today to go pick it up and i get there and mention that i am the guy that called the week before and we spoke about the hood and the bumper and he said he remembered and brought me back to show me the car. we got there and he said " ok so everything looks good, so 300 for the hood and 250 for the bumper." i just about blew my lid. Both pieces were in pretty good shape but not worh $550 (witch is almost double the price he told me on the phone)

So if anyone is looking for used parts save your self some time and go somewhere else

I hate when businesses do that shit. They tell you one thing over the phone and then when you drive all the way there, it's another story, usually with an excuse of "oh the guy who answered the phone was new", or whatever shit like that. It's even worse when we call not just one time to confirm.

I've had the same thing happen to me with another business. Called and asked if they had the rims I wanted, they said had lots. Drive down and they tell me that they don't have any, don't expect any, and are hard to get.

Liars! Can't see how it helps anyone to be the way they are.

Under-delivering/quoting is not a good way to do business.

i wouldnt show up a week after inquiry about certain parts. The guy probably sold both front bumper and the hood to other customer for 300 bux and he sees a demand on the market for it. Keep it mind i dont think there is a fixed value on used parts. Its all supply and demand thats in play.

The guy probably didn't sell the front bumper and hood to another customer. If he did, the guy would have told the OP that and the OP wouldn't be warning RS about this place.

Sure, there is always supply and demand, but I don't think that applies to this particular situation.

it was the same parts i called about, the problem is that they are the only place i know of in the lower mainland that have a del sol with the bumper and the hood. ( i need to fix the damage done by the previous owner before i paint the car )

dose anyone know anywhere that has a del sol with a front end? its a rare car as it is and finding a front end is like a needle in a hay stack
