do you guys have bad experiences with door to door marketers?
such as telus, shaw, painting / lawn mowing services.
is there a way to get your address off of companies lists? so that they don't come by your house
I just don't bother answering... but I dunno, my door bell doesn't work.
and I don't care to fix it. Cause no one actually comes over by ringing the doorbell.
My family has keys, and my friends always call me when they are outside.

If they ask me, I'm already a Jehovah's Witness. I'm already subscribing to Shaw or Telus services. I have someone from College Pro Painters coming on the weekend. And I've got the guy from your lawn mowing service booked for 4pm tomorrow.
They can't sell to you if you've already "bought" from them. If they call you on your bullshit tell them their records are wrong and if the press the issue tell them that you're now reconsidering being a customer/subscriber/whatever if they can't get their shit together and recognize whos already signed up and whos not.
Its a soft approach to shutting them down fast.

Have some Watchtower's by the door handy, and when they try to sell you on something start bullshitting about Jehovah's Witnesses and mess wit them.
