Why do you have to bump in 20 mins?
It depends what do you really want...
FF vs FR
Power vs Handling
Options/Benefits
Insurance & gas cost
How old and how far is it?

What are your budgets for fuel cost, insurance, upkeep? Do you like to DIY?
Z32 300zxs engine bays are cramped and somewhat difficult to work in.
Are you considering the twin turbo 300zx or the NA? I've driven the NA 300zx and it is a fun to drive road hugger with a smooth V6 (assuming its the manual transmission). the Twin Turbo version is simply a beast, it puts out about 300 HP, so if upkeep and fuel costs aren't a concern I'd go with a TT 300zx.
On the other hand the Type R is known for its agility, handling and high-revving I4 1.8L that puts out almost 200 HP. Both cars are an absolute blast to drive, and aftermarket support is plenty for both as well.
So to round out my opinion is really the factoring in of costs. Call an Autoplan agency and find out how much insurance will cost for those 2 cars. I had second thoughts about a 95 318IS after finding out that coverage would cost me 3200 a year in premiums.
And of course FF vs FR, once in a while its fun to kick out the back end |

Everything about the 300zx is difficult to work on. From doing body work to mechanical. If you have the patience and knowledge and you're not a n00b then I'd go with the 300zx.

300zx is one of my all time fav's. The lines are gorgeous and timeless, if you get the TT then you have enough power to put a smile on your face every single day. However, this car can come with a lot of problems, and maintenance is surprisingly expensive for a nissan.
If you can find a relatively low km 300zx that has been treated well, I say go for it!

I'd choose the ITR over a 300zx in a heart beat, but if you already have a gsr then I'd put money into that. Posted via RS Mobile |

you got a gsr, just build that and you will be more than happy.
itr's are great but IMO are a tad overrated. This coming from a current itr owner.

300zx all the way but like posted above they can get pricey to repair.
300zx's drive nicer, smoother and quieter as well. Twin turbo and T-tops are great things to have but they are noisy with the tops off once you hit 100km/h.

rwd and massive power is a lot of fun.

Like others have said, ITR all the way. But keep your GSR anyways and just put the extra money on that instead.
