911fanatic vs hammered Infiniti

A client recently acquired this Infinity and wanted it to look great. He usually does his own stuff but knew it was beyond what he was capable of doing at this point. He didn't have a big budget but was able to leave it for as long as I needed to fit in between jobs to fill time. Turns out we needed to fill empty time slots for about a week! LOL

Engine, jambs and trim cleaned with Exclusive APC and RG brushes.
Foamed with Exclusive APC mixed 1:1 with water and a shot of DP Extreme Foam just for fun
Washed with Exclusive Soap and RG Sheepskin Mitt
Wheels cleaned with IronX
Clayed with Sonus Ultrafine and Sonus Glyde clay lube
All polishing was done with Flex 3403 / B&S Yellow / B&S Green / Menz Power Finish
LSP was 2 coats of Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger
Tires dressed with Exclusive Tire Dressing
Exhaust polished with DG metal polish

Total time - approx 20 hours

As delivered. Looks awesome.....from afar!

The calipers, like the wheels, hadn't been cleaned in a few years!

And this was taken outside, on a cloudy day, with no flash. YIKES!

Good time to see what Exclusive APC will do if it gets on glass.

After drying in the sun for about 20 minutes...

And washed off with nothing more than soapy water.

There's no time like "SNOW TIME"!

Wheels were two piece polished aluminum with raw aluminum barrels so using any type of acid to clean the build up of brake dust was out of the question. Up until this point I had used IronX to clean leftover brake dust off wheels, but not to actually clean the entire wheel. Worked like a charm!

Bloody barrels!

Exclusive APC and IronX teaming up

Looks like the body shop forgot to tape off the entire rear of the car. Holy overspray Batman!

Waxed in direct sunlight?

Holograms were on almost every panel

Scuffs instead of holo's on this panel - Yippee!

Little overspray on the fuel filler door

After hitting the barrels with IronX and some 0000 steel wool, the barrels were looking really nice.

Bird poopage

A few 50/50s. Car was polished with B&S yellow on my Flex 3403 and Menz Power Finish followed up with Power Finish on a green B&S.

Not sure what happened here.

Tail lights even got into the action with some overspray

Even more overspray - maybe the car is supposed to be two tone, gloss and satin!

After a few days of polishing and two coats of Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger.

Thanks for looking.

HOLY SMOKES!!

Everytime I read your posts it always seems to amaze me how precise and detailed your work is. It seems like you can overcome any blemish or imperfections cars/paint throws at you.

I really applaud your workmanship!

It really makes me want to bring you my car and see if you can fix my imperfections.

I read up your site and notice the prices, little pricey for me, but definitely worth it. Maybe when I have some extra funds, I will call you for your service.

Much Thanks for the detailed pics.

Its frustrating for me as well as the prices seem high, but in reality, I only charge $40/hr. Its just that it takes so much time to do it properly. I'd love to be able to lower the prices but its just not possible.

That actually sounds quite fair at $40/hr...taking more time shows you have patience for good work.

^ don't forget material cost either. The products he uses isn't exactly cheap.

Iron-X is around $15 for 500ml, you might use 1/3 of it for the whole car + rims, theres $5 right there. During the wash + polish stages, the cost of all the products used can probably range from $3-5/hour or more.

MY GOD.

I've always thought your workmanship definitely is TOP NOTCH, however, after seeing this thread, I realized my car has HOPE

I've actually was considering to re-paint my whole car along with 3 Hit&Run claims I've had.

If price fits in my book, I'm def. bringing mine to you after taking care of those claims for fix

*PS: BTW, if cars been left on the shop, it's better idea to tag a friend along so that i can get a ride back and forth, right?

I definitely want to bring my truck to you because of the paint color, but I'm afraid of the bill because of the square footage haha.
