[Confidential] Herpes, pimples, or in-growns? The following is a post by an anonymous Revscene member. Please keep this thread on-topic and if the anonymous member would like to reply to anything said in this thread, please feel free to PM me. Flaming in this thread will NOT be tolerated. I'm too busy during the day to go to a clinic during the day but I've got a doctors appointment lined up in a couple weeks. But I'd just like this burning question relieved a bit before I go see him. I'm not embarrassed to ask it on revscene but I'd just like to ask for your kindest respect and understanding. Anyways, I always use condoms because I believe in safe sex. However, some of my partners have these lumps around their labia or whatever you call it. I thought nothing of it at the time, but realistically in the back of my mind, I was thinking it might be symptoms of some kind of STD. I thought that by using a condom I won't catch anything. So my question is, can you still catch STD's with a condom on? Like whatever lumpy pimply thing she had around her labia, I have it too. It's like multiplying by the day lol but it could be chicken pox cause I don't remember having chicken pox when I was a kid. PS, I used a new razor blade to shave recently. PPS, I went on google and did a search but my symptoms don't really match the criteria laid out for herpes. I'm really confused which is why I ask for your help. |
you'll need to tell us more about the symptoms you're experiencing. do you feel a burning sensation when you urinate? |
hmm, i know a LOT of guys who have mistaken herpes for fordyce spots! what colour are the bumps? red or white? |
It's your junk. Make the time to go to the doctor today and find out for sure. Also the rules for sex are similar to the rules for sampling food from your fridge that you think might be behind it's expiration date. If you're not sure, if it seems a little funky, make sure it's alright before you stick your penis in it. Herpes is not the only STD out there. |
Chicken pox is super itchy and will cover your entire body... |
always check the turf before you surf |
chancre= the lump.....syphilis? |
It could be razor bumps since you shaved down there...looks like a rash or pimples It cant be chickenpox because they wont stay confined to that one region, they spread to the entire body quite quickly |
Best advice is go to the doctor ASAP, unless we have pictures or we can somehow inspect it (per se), most likely it will be hard to help the best we can through the Internet. |
had to google labia on google images and the amount of hairy forests... :facepalm: |

If it was my junk, I sure wouldn't be asking RS for advice. There is no way any amount of embarrassment is hold me back from going to the doctor in as quick as the way possible. If you've ever had a legitimate reason for calling in sick. You've just found it. |
there are things called walk in clinics.. and the fact that you cant distinghuish chicken pox from an std makes me wonder how old you are... also, razor burn. ingrown hairs will not "mutliply". hopefully for you, it is nothing.. but shiet buddy... tell the girl to get tested too |

People..you need to realize..a condom isn't superman and will save you from everything and anything. Yes, it will help to some extent but it isn't 100% std proof. Herpes for one, can spread from the shedding of the skin. If he/she is shedding from skin that isn't covered (the outside of her vaginal lips etc for example) gets onto you..you are exposed and run the risk of getting it if there is sexual contact. Chlamydia/Gonorrhea can be prevented but if the condom breaks etc, you're not gonna be covered. Walk in clinics are usually opened till 8 depending on the location and how fast they fill up with patients. With your description..it could be anything. Razor bumps possibly..but if it's replicating faster than you can imagine..I'd check it out asap. Stds are so common that 1 in 2 people before the age of 25 will have had some sort of std. (twitter OMGSEXFACTS..) Condoms are great to help prevent the transfer but you should also get yourself educated about sex and what are the cons that come along with it. |
