Wood Tiles - Decking Solutions

I purchased a whole lot of these wood floor tiles a mix between the jysk ones and the ikea platta floors..

my question is... do i need to seal the floors? The guy at JYSK says i should probably buy some semi transparent sealer and paint over each tile...

http://www.jysk.ca/ProductDetails.as...id=902-10-1035

http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/pr...6?query=platta

Do you think i need to ???

The jysk ones are Solid treated Acacia and the ikea floors says i should oil them periodically ??

Thanks in advance........

oiling them would probably keep their natural color longer. If untreated will probably turn grey after a while.

I have the ikea ones (also acacia wood, bigger plank size tho) on my balcony.
after one year, the pieces around the edge are turning white & grey

I am going to coat it with an outdoor wood varnish (those used for decking & fences) later in the summer.
