I think Daniel was cleared for practice b4 game1
there has been speculation that it was also a broken jaw that kept him out
whatever it may be, Danny is in LA atm or heading there as I type.
Concussions are funny. You can be sympton free, and then headaches occur 3-4 months down the stretch.

Don't know why I lol'd reading that. I think I've gone hysterical at this point.
Just to note:
Bylsma said Fleury's their goalie for the next four games.
BOLD statement... lol

Remember when Zach Kassian was the key to our playoffs this year? he played 3 minutes last nite and has looked lost the entire series. He may be a good player in a few years with some development, but to think at 21 years of age hes ready to be the gritty power forward in the playoffs is absolutely ridiculous.
CoHo woulda scored a goal.
No Im not letting it go.

CoHo is much further in his development than Kassian is
sometimes, throwing a kid into the jungle so young could hurt him
but the canucks really dont have that option atm..

Some of you guys need to get over the Hodgson trade.
You guys are out to lunch if you think Hodgson is the savior who would carry this team and make it go 3-0.
He is a liability. His defensive game is horrible. His fate was sealed in the Detroit game. Yes, he scored a "clutch" goal, but was responsible for 2 Red Wing goals.
Don't get me wrong, he's one hell of a player but Hodgson would be eaten
ALIVE against the likes of Richards, Kopitar or even Stoll. Pahlsson isn't doing too great and he's a legitimate checking centre! Everyone knows that Hodgson had trouble when matched up with bigger players and that's what the Kings have, a whole lot of big, physical centres that are also extremely skilled.
He was playing sheltered minutes on the third line and would have barely any shifts under AV anyway.

We'll see how game 4 goes. I think the Canucks just need to amp up their work ethic and hit more.

I like Kassians game too tho and I hope he gets a chance to shine here

I hate to say it, but I actually really like the way the Kings are built and they've actually grown on me a lot in this series. 15 Canadians, 7 Americans, and only 3 europeans with one being Kopitar who plays like Forsberg who didnt play like a european.
Their entire team is hard working tough guys with no wimps. Only 1 guy under 5'11. They don't have any big ego superstars that play like they are untouchable.
As much as I hate them all right now, Id love to have half their guys on our team.

Hitting forces players to make quicker plays and possibly more mistakes.

They have all the pieces in place to make a deep run in the playoffs, especially the way Quick has been playing. They are actually my 2nd favorite team, so if they knock the Canucks out I will be cheering them on.

He was playing sheltered minutes on the third line and would have barely any shifts under AV anyway. | Okay, I'm throwing out the billionaire dollar question: "How do you jumpstart the Canucks offence if your two scoring lines are not scoring, the power play is dead, and your D-men are not scoring?" The Canucks have scored four goals after three games.
Can our players get into the high traffic areas to get great scoring chances on Quick and screen this goalie? There has to be a way to solve LA's defensive coverage in their zone. Most of those 40 plus shots in game three were from the perimeter. I cannot think of many high quality scoring chances from game 3 where our guys were right in front of the net, shooting the puck, or trying to jam it past Quick, while we had heavy traffic in front of him.
Willie Mitchell is preventing much of the Canucks forwards from getting quality scoring chances. His sound positioning and his stick that can harpoon a whale is shutting down our forwards. How do you free the forwards from Willie?
Yeah, Cody was a defensive liability. No doubt. He did provide a third option for offense that this team desperately needs right now. If the Canucks don't find a way to score on the PP, or get goals from their top 6 forwards, or even D-men, the Kings are bringing brooms for a sweep.

has anyone noticed how nearly everytime the canucks are skating on a rush they stick to the outside and stop up on the half boards? aside from booth a couple times in games 1 and 2, i cant recall anyone taking the puck to the middle.
