Kings with only one loss so far

Gumby 05-14-2012 08:25 AM

Wow LA Kings... Quick gives up a stinker from centre ice, and yet the team responds with a 4-2 road victory. They're undefeated on the road!

fsy82 05-14-2012 08:31 AM

Kings all the way..they are firing on all cylinders!

Hunter steps down as Capitals head coach

Dale Hunter won't return as head coach next season. Wonder what happened?

hotjoint 05-14-2012 09:07 AM

kings looks solid

pastarocket 05-14-2012 09:10 AM

Hunter wants to coach the London Knights in the Memorial Cup tournament. -probably has to do with contractual obligations. If he stayed as a coach with Washington, he may not be allowed to coach another team.

The article also mentions that the reason for stepping down for the job has to do with personal reasons. Hunter wants to go back to his family in Canada.

Anyways, thanks Hunter for helping the Caps knock out the bad news Bruins.
A "thank you" from a Canucks fan. :)

Even as a Sabres and Canucks fan, Hunter will never get a thanks or respect from me, even if he knocked out the Bruins from the playoffs. One of the blatantly dirtiest players ever in the NHL, that cross check to Turgeon, separating his shoulder and knocking him out of the playoffs, when Turgeon was celebrating his goal IMO is one of, if not the most dirtiest incidents in all of professional sports. To blind side attack another player during a celebration, for doing nothing but scoring a goal, digusting.

Dale Hunter will forever be cemented as the coach that didnt let Ovi play
Of course, its all a big "what if" Ovi played more.

UFO 05-14-2012 11:12 AM

^I disagree about the what if ovi played more part. By playing him less they got past Boston and damn near knocked out NYR, surpassing majority of expectations. I think many would agree that Caps wouldn't have gotten as far if Ovi had been playing what he usually plays.

Not really racist! 05-14-2012 11:13 AM

I thought it was clever of Hunter not to play Ovi when they had the lead acutally; he's been proven to be a defensive liability but he was "better" this playoffs and acutally skated hard back to the defensive zone

this is the thing, we know whatsup, the caps played a lot better by limiting OVI and his defensive holes

as the media and the general american public, they will write and basically tell the public its because of that

DJ Steve Porter's Torts Next Question Please

Mike Oxbig 05-14-2012 02:50 PM

Caps are good but semin... do they want him back and its best to reconstruct the defense. Dump Green!

Gh0stRider 05-14-2012 03:37 PM

Report: Alexander Semin will NOT re-sign with the Washington Capitals this summer. Report: Semin will not re-sign with Capitals | The Score "It was good while it lasted. They decided to change directions. Alex doesn't fit into that system obviously. He plays, he did the best he could, and he earned his right to be a free agent." ~ Semin's agent, Mark Gandler. Let's hear it, WHERE does Semin end up next season?

b0unce. [?] 05-14-2012 03:40 PM

Isn't the obvious answer the Canucks? Lol everything revolves around us.

Mike Oxbig 05-14-2012 03:40 PM

Fit with the vancouver canucks because its all about high scoring here according to MG. If so sign him! cap hit @ 5 - 5.7 mill max

I'm pretty sure some team will over pay him at 6M+

This is the type of player Glen Slather always signs haha, good thing they don't really need him.
